WIll this phone mount fit an iPhone 6 Plus with and Otterbox Defender case? The measurement of width, case and all, is approx. 3 1/2".

    • This can accommodate a phone with a width up to 3.25" so you would not be able to have this with your phone.

Will this hold a Galaxy S8 Plus in an Otterbox?

    • this can accommodate a phone with a width up to 3.25". According to the Samsung S8+ dimensions, the phone is about 73.4 mm converting to aproximatley 2.9" in width. This mount would fit the phone, however, there are a few variations on the specific Otterbox in use. I would advise measuring the width of the phone with the case in use to be certain.

      Not a good fit

Great idea and wonderful product but won’t stay clipped in. No matter how hard you push and phong. It WILL pop back up and out.

      Poor Fit

Nice design but the Rugged Ridge Multi-Mount Storage System wouldn't clip into the dash at the back. In comparison with the OEM part, the clips on the RR system are not spaced correctly to bite into the dash slots - no matter how hard you press it down. Had to very carefully pull the clips a few mm lower with needle nose pliers (be careful, the plastic posts are not "rigid") to get it to fit (2010 JK). Expected better.

Easy install at a good price. Turned an unused space into a very useful space.

      Very nice design, very functional.

Very nice design, very functional but as with all parts it needed a little tweaking to make it fit. It looked as if the very front had warped due to be packaged several years age, it only took about 20 min. to sand off the warped edges. Once this was done it was installed in about 30 seconds. After all that being said this item is a great thing, should have been a factory part !!!!!!

      Rugged Ridge Dash Mount

It's a Good product but the only issue I'm having with it is the item is not staying snapped in place. Had to use original clips to mount the dash piece to the dashboard and with that it's still loose on the left side mounting clip.

      Rugged Ridge Dash Mount

The dash kit works and looks great. I would have given it 5 stars except the clips that hold it down are not the same as the factory ones so they wouldn't lock it down. I was missing one of the OEM clips so I had to order them to get the dash kit installed.

      Weak

Had to trim the base for it to lock down in the dash. The arm is a bit flimsy for holding iPhone X while driving.

      Do not bother

Same as the other reviews. Do not bother purchasing this product. Clips do not secure the item. I should have read the reviews before purchasing.

      Not bad, but...

... in order to fit perfectly, i had to remove the clips from the factory mount and apply them to the this mount. Other than that, it's a good addition.

      Doesn't fit

Pretty much the same as the other reviews. Doesn't fit into the snaps like the video shows. Extremely unsatisfied.

Not plug and play as marketed.

This product was much more difficult to install than expected. The clips would not fit properly into the existing openings. It took me about and 30-40 minutes to get the clips right so the unit would fit correctly.

      Not fully satisfied

For my 2010 JK Unlimited the mounting clips that hold the system in place did not latch or stay in place properly. Like the video shows you to whack them down put it just would not stay in place. It would bounce back out just sitting in the driveway. Other than that the product is fine. I modified with a screw to secure the system.

      Didn't fit

I really like the product overall it's a great way to have a storage container on your dashboard as well as a phone mount for GPS however when I installed it it does not clip-in in the back because the clips are actually shorter than the stock ones and of course my stock Clips broke when I took them out so it's it's a little higher than it is supposed to and does not lock down in the back

      not worth the money

I took off the old one, no problem. Went to install the new one in and it wouldn't snap in. Had to remove the clips off the old one and install on the new one. It snapped in but it is loose. I will have to get better clips.

      Could be better

Really same review as most everyone else.. I had to change to the OEM clips to keep it in place.. Still kinda loose.. Haven’t drove with it yet, but just looking at the phone mount I am going to try to find a replacement that will fit on the ball.. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, it’s gonna wear this mount out quick.. Other than those issues it’s a nice design, I feel those are minor details..
