I have a rough country 4 inch lift on my Jeep now, I wanna lower it down to this 2.5 inch lift can I is my shocks from the 4 inch lift?

    • You would need shocks for a 2.5 inch lift to work with the Rough Country 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit.

I have newer shocks on my 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 Sport 4.0 L, it lifted it about .5"-1" with just the shocks. Do I absolutely need the shocks that go with this suspension lift? I saw that it made it a lot more inexpensive. I understand that it is recommended, but will it mess up my car/driving without the rough country shocks? I just don't want the shocks that I had previously installed, go to waste.

    • The Rough Country 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit w/o Shocks can be used with a different brand shock. As long as the shocks are made for a 2.5 inch lift, you would be able to use it.

Can i use my stock height shocks with this kit?

    • Longer shocks are highly recommended with the install of Rough Country 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit.

Hi, I hava jeep wrangler 97, 2.5 lts ( 4 cilinder ) yhis kit fit my jeep? Thanks

    • This specific Rough Country 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit w/o Shocks is for Wranglers with a 6 cylinder engine. You would need the Rough Country 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit w/o Shocks for the 4 cylinder engine, that can be found here: https://www.extremeterrain.com/rough-country-25-suspension-tj-652.html

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport; is this 2.5 in. lift kit compatible with my stock suspension configuration, or will I need new control arms to keep the geometry correct?

    • Usually it is recommended to get new control arms when you reach a height where you need a Slip Yoke Eliminator which is usually at 3.5 inches or greater. With a 2.5 inch lift all you should need is shocks, coil springs and maybe some bumpstop extensions.

      Just Right

The finish on the springs is perfect. There are no scratches or chips in the finish. I have driven about 150 miles since installing this kit on my truck. The ride is smooth. The stance my Jeep has now is perfect. I did use a Rough Country 3/4 inch spacers on the front.

      2.5 inch lift springs

previous owner put in 2 inch spacers. The jeep was always hitting the bump stops when 4 wheeling. I liked the ride height, so bought the 2.5 inch springs. Lifted the jeep about 1.5 inches more than with the spacers. No more hitting the bump stops. The ride is smother than the stock springs and spacers.

      Great Lift!

Bought this lift to replace some Budget Boost spacers i put on my jeep that rode kinda rough. Shipping was fast and I installed the lift in roughly 4 hours in my garage without any power tools and only a spring compressor (you will need it). Springs ride good and made my Jeep look awesome!

      Great product

I replaces the stock springs and 2" lift spacers on my 97 TJ . The 20 year old springs were a little saggy. These springs are exceptional quality and added a little more than 3" lift over stock. Installation is straight forward BUT , you need to use a good coil spring compressor . I have no complaints about the ride, it is a Jeep after all !

      Check everything twice

I called and instant message the asking if this was everything I need to do the install. I was told by two people it was. The shocks were wrong and there wasn't a track bar adjustment part with it. I would definitely recommend checking parts. Springs were great and love the way it looks

      Better control and ride

I used these springs on my 2006 rubicon with 33" tires. I also used bilstine 5100 series shocks. It was a little stiff for the first 100 miles but now it's smoother than oem. Thanks, Nice product.

      Rough Country 2.5" springs

Very stiff initially, but they seem to be settling in nicely now.

      Great Value!

I needed some new springs and shocks. These fit my needs as I didn't want to deal with all the modifications needed with a lift kit. I didn't realize how bad the other springs were till these were installed. What a difference in ride quality. The ride height is taller and I would say it is a little more than 2.5 inches. Added the transfer drop and the ride quality is truly amazing compared to the stock shocks and springs. I would highly recommend these springs.

      Solid springs

Progressive rate springs have great droop and offer advertised light height. I went with skyjacker hydro shocks as rough country seems to have quite a few shock issues.
