      Hi, guys. So, today we're checking out the RedRock 4 x 4 Steel Dead Pedal fitting all 2007 to 2018 at JK Wranglers. So, if you are in search of some small affordable mods that are gonna up the comfortability inside your Wrangler, a dead pedal assembly is always a great place to start and this option by RedRock 4 x 4 is going to be a great choice to take a look into and it's also going to be pretty affordable at that. Now, dead pedal assembly is always a great thing to have inside your Wrangler, especially if you have an automatic Jeep and you want a different place to rest your foot than it normally does. Now, this is gonna be made of a durable steel material so this is not going to flex at all. It's gonna have a solid mounting point and it's going to hold up in the long run when you rest your foot on this. Now, what I also really like about this is the fact that this is gonna have multiple mounting points. So, it is gonna mount to the left side of your footwell area right next to your break, but you can adjust where you want it to sit. So, if you want it to sit a little bit closer to you or a little bit farther back, you can definitely adjust that to your personal preference.Now, this is also gonna have some cutouts on the front; that's gonna add a little bit of extra traction. They are raised so your foot is not going to slip off. And it's gonna have a nice textured black powder coat finish on top, which is gonna match with any other heavy-duty accessories that you may have already in your Wrangler mounted up in your Jeep. But what it's really gonna do is protect that steel underneath. So, if you do take your doors off, you get any mud or water inside the cab area or on the dead pedal itself or if you track anything in and you put your foot on this, the steel underneath is going to be protected and it's gonna hold up for a very long time.Now, with that being said, this is gonna come in at roughly $40 which makes this an incredibly affordable mod for a little bit of extra comfort inside your Wrangler. Now, there are other options for dead pedals out there, however they may just be set up a little bit differently and it kind of comes down to personal preference. I like the fact that this is a little bit smaller and out of the way but still offers a pretty large space to rest your foot whenever you need to do so, and this is adjustable. Some other options are not adjustable, they may be adjustable by height, but you may not be able to adjust them forward or backwards. And then there's other options as far as resting your foot goes that usually involve the footpegs for when you take your doors off. But if you don't take your doors off that often and you're just looking for a comfortable spot to rest your foot inside your footwell area while you're driving around in your Jeep, this is gonna be a great choice.Now, install couldn't get any easier. I'm gonna give this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, you're really only gonna need one tool to get the job done and probably 15 to 30 minutes to do it. So, speaking of that install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install are an impact wrench and a 10-millimeter socket. So, I would like to mention this may be a little bit difficult to see because we are in the footwell area of our jeep. However, there are gonna be two ground wires and two 10-millimeter nuts over here on the side of the body. Now, I'm gonna take a 10-millimeter socket, we're gonna go ahead and remove those so we can mount up our dead pedal.So, after the hardware on the ground wires is removed, what we can do is actually remove our hook for our limiting strap. We're gonna mount that up as well with our dead pedal. So, I'm gonna take that same 10-millimeter socket and we can remove that as well.I'm just gonna unplug this here to get it out of my way.What we can do is take our dead pedal, line that up with two of the mounting locations and push that on into place. Then we can take our limiting strap and mount that up as well.So, the bolt for the limiting strap hook is going to sandwich the dead pedal in between there, then we can take the hardware for the ground wires and attach those as well. And then what we can do is take our 10-millimeter socket and tighten everything up.So, after that's all tightened up, then you'll be ready to go.So, that is going to wrap it up for my review and install.
