      Hey, guys. So today we're checking out the RedRock 4x4 Hard Top Quick Removal Fastener Kit, fitting all 1997 to 2018 TJ and JK Wranglers. So taking off the hard top and enjoying an open-air driving experience is always nice, however, sometimes it does take a little bit of time and effort to take off that hard top. Now this kit is going to make it just that much easier and less time-consuming considering these are going to replace the hardware that is in the back of your hard top, making it incredibly easy to take out that hardware instead of grabbing a tool and removing it all by hand. Now this is going to include eight knobs as well as eight nut plates and washers that are going to replace the current hardware that is fastening the top down to at the back of the Wrangler. Now this is gonna just make it very easy to just unthread it by hand and take it off, but I would like to mention that this is only gonna be for strictly the back of the Jeep and the hardware back there. Now the two up at the front that will fasten down the front of the hard top, these will not fit underneath the T tops. So we'll just keep that in mind, the two extras on the table are going to be a replacement or an extra if you do ever lose one. Now with that being said, that this is gonna be a very simple concept, but it is going to make all the difference when it comes to taking off that hard top and enjoying that open-air driving experience.Now, as far as pricing is concerned, this is going to be a very affordable kit coming in at roughly the $25 mark. And, in my personal opinion, I think for the functionality that this kit provides, that's gonna be a very good price for that. Now, in comparison to other quick removal fastener kits on the page, this choice is going to be one of the more simplistic choices. Some other options will come up with tie-down points or D-rings for the fasteners themselves if you're carrying cargo in the back. And then some other options are going to come up with just the knob and not the nut plate. So kind of comes down to personal preference, I personally think this is going to make a world of difference when it comes to taking off the hard top, and again, just that much easier, so for $25, you really can't beat it.Now, as far as install is concerned, I'm gonna give this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're only gonna need a couple of basic hand tools to get the job done. And once these are on, it's going to be a breeze taking the hard top on and off. So you're probably gonna need about 30 minutes worth of your time. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were an impact wrench and a T40 Torx socket, a soft pry tool, and a flathead screwdriver.So our first step is removing the hardware that's attaching our hard top to the Jeep. Now for this, you're gonna need a T40 Torx socket, and you're also gonna need a flathead screwdriver or a soft pry tool. So first we can remove the bolt, so I'm gonna use that T40 Torx socket for that. And then we can remove the nut plate on the bottom. Now this is gonna be held in by a couple of clips. So you can either use a soft pry tool or a flathead screwdriver to take this off. Just have to unhook the clips, then we can put this to the side. Now with our new hardware, what we can do is take our new nut plate, put this underneath. We can take our provided knob and the washer. Now the foam part of the washer is gonna be facing up towards the knob. And we can thread this in by hand. All right. Now, once that's secure, we can repeat that process for the other five bolts.So that is going to wrap it up for my review and install.
