    Review & Installation Video

Hey guys I'm Ryan from Extreme Terrain and this is my review of the RedRock 4x4 dual outlet axle-back exhaust that fits all 2007 to 2016 Jeep JKs both 2 door and 4 door. As you can see the system is offered in both black and stainless finishes. This is a great exhaust for those of you who spend most of the time on the road or on light trails without a lot of tailpipe crushing obstacles. For those of you who spend more time on the rocks, you'll want to look at our high clearance exhaust systems that tuck everything up and out of the way. When you're shopping for an axle-back exhaust for your Jeep you're really looking at three factors, one being sound of course, the second being build quality and the third being the looks. No axle-back is going to provide huge power gains to your JK. The exhaust is not the most restrictive part of the system so opening it up isn't going to give you a ton more power. Unfortunately no axle-back is going to make your V6 sound like a V8. That being said, this exhaust will give you a nice low note. You'll definitely notice more of a growl especially when you're in the higher RPM band - when you get into the throttle getting onto an onramp for instance. I'll give it about a two out of five on loudness. You'll get a little bit more sound but you'll definitely notice the lower note. When it comes to the quality of the construction, these are really solid especially for a budget system. They don't sound tinny. Got a nice heavy weight to them. The welds are consistent and look really strong. And, the finish is great in both black and in stainless. They use the same 409 stainless material as some of the most expensive systems, so they should hold up for you in the long run. If you were to have any problems in the first three years, RedRock 4x4 offers a three year warranty. Finally, visually the systems look great. You get the dual outlet exhaust that gives your Jeep a tough look and you get to choose between either the stainless with the polished tips or the black to really customize the look of your rig. The install for this system could not be any easier. You need one wrench to loosen and retighten three different bolts, and it uses all the factory hangers. On a scale of one to five this is definitely a one. You can probably get this done in less than an hour with normal hand tools. You don't even need to call a friend for an extra set of hands. If you want to see what other people are saying about this exhaust system, make sure you check out the customer submitted reviews on the website. If you're having trouble deciding between black or stainless, there are tons of customer submitted pictures. For you guys that are staying on the road or on the light trails and want that nice low exhaust note and a custom look, this is the perfect system for you. It's really well built for the budget and shares a lot of features with the more expensive systems that we offer. That's my review of the RedRock 4x4 dual outlet axle-back exhaust. For more reviews check out extremeterrain.com. In the meantime I'm Ryan. Thanks for watching.

      Really easy install

It's so easy a girl can do it, which i am. Took me an hour to install, the hardest part was taking the old muffler out of the hangers. Nice low sound, not to load. Love it! !

Review from RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Black Tips (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

      Easy install!

The hardest part of this was getting the old muffler off! I finally just cut off the hanger on the passenger side after wrestling with it for half an hour. Installing the new muffler was a breeze and only took a few minutes. The sound is a little deeper and louder than stock. This is not going to make your V6 sound like a V8 but it's better than stock.

Review from RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Black Tips (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

      Nice throaty sound

I took this to a muffler shop to have it installed for me. To get the fit to look right, they had to cut off one of the hangers and reeled it on to balance it out. They welded the exhaust on instead of bolting it on and it looks great, not too loud but loud enough! It sounds great without being obnoxious. It caust $200 in labor but at the lower purchase price compared to other similar BAE’s it was done professionally and I am very happy with the result!

      New muffler

Cant beat the price. If your looking to get a little hum or more aggressive sound in the back that is not annoying, this is it. I'm happy with the purchase. Now I need to figure out what to do with the old muffler.

RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust

Very RR is easy to install, removal of old muffler wasn't too bad, loosen clamp then slide isolators off so that you can twist muffler and tap with rubber mallet. Mine is a 2008 and came off pretty easy. Sound is loud but I understand it will become quieter with time. I also have a Banks air intake so that may make the sound a little different than stock. Overall I'm impressed with ease of installation and sound.

      Great bargain

Threw this on my 2011 JKU. Kit came with everything. Well made. Great finish on the tips. Strong welds. Took a little adjusting as even with the mounting posts being extended they're almost slightly too short but I blame my old stock rubber hangers being less than pliable. Sounds pretty good but you'll have to move the tips around and play with the clamps to get it just right. It's not quite as deep as I'd hoped but worlds better than stock

      Great product!

This is a great exhaust. Easy install took about a hour. The hardest part was removing stock exhaust which took most of that hour. About 15 min to install new one. Looks great and sounds great. By far best mod I have made to my jeep.

Review from RedRock 4x4 Dual Outlet Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Black Tips (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK)

      Great value

I've had the RedRock exhaust installed for a few weeks now, and for the money I think it's great. I really like the volume difference this makes over the stock muffler, but it's also not too loud, and definitely no drone at idle or highway speeds. The black finish seems to scratch easily and the paint on the hardware flaked off easily but it's not noticeable once installed.

      Best Bang for Your Buck!

As with most all cat-back exhausts, the sounds actually improves as you drive your jeep. The sound becomes deeper toned. Easy install with simple tools and no need for jacks. Single person install. Driving with you top off it's much more noticeable, (duh) but not overpowering. Driving with the top on it sounds great! Lastly, While breaking in I noticed a drove lower in the power band but again, it went away as the exhaust broke in.

      Great Product

Sounds great and looks great. The hardest part is getting the old exhaust off, simple install of new exhaust. 45 min to remove and 15 minutes to install new one. The best tip is to use a lubricant and large channel locks to remove old one.
