Great & Strong Bumper
I'm no different than everyone else, I needed a rear bumper with a tire carrier. After I lifted my LJ, I now needed a place to hang my 35 inch spare. I went to trade shows and Jeep events trying to get ideas on a bumper. I was first drawn in by the looks of the Smitty Built bumper, but once I put my hands on one, it was clearly not a strong bumper. Smitty Built puts together great product, their finish work (paint & welding) is among the best out there. But they use smaller gauge metal, (To Save Money?). For this reason I kept shopping.
I was at the Jeep event and notice a rear bumper that caught my eye. After looking at it and talking to the owner, he advised that it was a Red Rock 4X4 Rock Crawler. I was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of the bumper. When this Jeep owner told me the price, I didn't believe him. When I returned home I went online to Extreme Terrain and became a believer than I bought it.
When the bumper arrived at the house it was in two boxes. Very impressed with the packaging. All parts of the bumper were wrapped and protected nicely. I was so excited to get everything unwrapped and one I did the bumper looked just as I hoped, perfect! Installed the bumper by myself in a few hours. Only issue was the lock washers and bolts should have been grade 8, when I tighened the bolts, the lock washers opened up and fell out. Went to the hardware store and purchased better hardware. Very nice bumper.
If you like the looks of this bumper, take my word for it, you will not be displeased. Extreme Terrain & RedRock 4X4 thanks completing my spare tire project!!! Now on to the next one, Mmmmmmmm
