Hey, guys. It's Sara with extremeterrain.com, and today we have a review and install of the Raxiom Horizon LED Tail Lights, fitting your '18 to '20 Jeep Wrangler JLs. These are perfect for the Jeep owner who is looking to upgrade their tail lights to an LED and wants a more modern design. They feature enhanced visibility courtesy of the LEDs and in the center, they feature infinity style reflector which is sure to stand out from your factory tail lights. They're manufactured from durable automotive grade ABS plastic black housings with red lenses. They also include high-intensity LEDs which are gonna outlast the life of your factory bulbs. They feature a very easy plug and play installation and are DOT approved making them fully street legal. So, as far as price goes, these come in right around $250, putting them middle of the road price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you're getting the function of an LED tail light with the unique infinity mirror design.I'm giving this install a very easy one out of three wrenches. It features a plug and play install and can be done within 30 minutes. So, with that said, let's jump into our install. For this install, you will need a ratchet, a T40 Torx socket, and a trim panel removal tool. All right, so the first step in our install is to grab a trim panel removal tool and with your back window and tailgate open on the inside you can access your tail lights. Go ahead and put your trim panel tool underneath this tab here and remove this piece of plastic. All right, so with that piece of plastic removed, you can see a small white plastic torx bolt. We're gonna go ahead and remove that so that we can get the tail light out of the back of the Jeep. Grab a T40 Torx socket and remove this. With the bolt removed, you can now grab your tail light and pull straight towards you. Locate your main connector, pull back on the red tab, press down and remove it. Plug in your new tail light. Go ahead and route your harness. You can use some zip ties to secure it in place if there is a little extra hanging. Lineup the plastic pins to the holes in your Jeep and slide the tail light in place. All right, now we can reinstall the factory plastic bolts. All right, so keep in mind you do have to get this fairly far in in order to get as a thread because there is a long spring on it. And I'm gonna grab our T40 Torx socket and we're just gonna use a hand ratchet for this one because we are going into plastic and we don't wanna overdo it. Finally, grab your plastic cap and press it into place. All right, now that we have our factory tail light uninstalled from our Jeep, we can check it out side by side with our Raxiom tail light. Now, they do have a sort of similar appearance at first glance, but if you look a little bit closer, you'll notice the LED bar around the outside of our Raxiom really gives it that upgraded look. In addition,, the function of the LED is definitely gonna outlast the life of your factory bulbs. And as a nice added bonus, the Raxiom tail light comes with an infinity mirror design, which is unique to say the least. So, with that said, let's finish up our install. Now, we can repeat that process on the other side. Start by removing the cover. Grab your T40 Torx socket and remove the bolts. All right, for the passenger side, you may need to open your tailgate a little bit. Go ahead and grab the tail light and pull it out. Pull back on the red tab. Press down on the black tab and pull it free. Go ahead and plug in your new tail light. You may wanna secure the extra wiring with zip ties. Tuck it away, lineup all of the plastic tabs, and press your tail light into place. Now you can install the factory plastic bolt into your new tail light. You may have to press down a bit in order to get it to start to thread. We're gonna use a hand ratchet for this because it is plastic. Go ahead and get your T40 Torx socket and tighten it down. Finally, grab your cover with a larger tab towards the back. Go ahead and clip it into place. All right, so that is gonna do it for the review and install of these Raxiom tail lights. And remember for all things Jeep, keep it at extremeterrain.com.
