    Video Review & Installation

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review of the Raxiom 50 in. Double Row LED Light Bar fitting all 1987 to 2016 Wranglers. Having some auxiliary lighting on your Jeep is really nice, whether you're wheeling at night or you're just driving a lot of dark backroads. The headlights on a Jeep, especially on a JK, are notoriously dingy and they don't throw a ton of light. So having some auxiliary lighting is really a safety feature. Now these can't be used on the road when there's oncoming traffic, but in the situations when you're alone on a dark backroad, and especially on the trail, these are gonna throw a ton of light.Pricing for a 50 inch light bar like this are all over the place, and you generally get what you pay for. But some of you guys don't wanna spend over $1,000 on a light bar and at the same time you don't want the quality associated with a bar that's less than $100. Well, the Raxiom light bar is a really nice balance of both quality and cost. When purchasing a light bar like this, you wanna make sure you're not getting something that's gonna end up with burned out LEDs or condensation behind the lens. And Raxiom takes care of both of those possible issues. This is a diecast aluminum housing that holds 100 3-watt Cree LEDs, all sealed behind a polycarbonate lens. There's really only one place you can mount a light bar of this size on your Jeep and that's above the windshield. And like most of the light bars on the market, this doesn't come with any brackets to put it there. The brackets that do come with the light bar are small feet, so if you're using the bar for a different application, you could drill. But if you wanna get this installed over the windshield on your Jeep without having to drill, I would suggest picking up a set of brackets. The other thing to consider when installing a light bar like this is getting power to it. Like most of the light bars on the market, this comes with a two-wire pigtail. And Raxiom offers a wiring harness that makes installing this really, really simple. That harness includes a switch, a fuse, a relay, everything you need. Or you can build your own harness. Most people will choose to run their wiring behind the windshield bracket, down into the cal and then into the engine compartment. From there you have access to the battery and you can go through the firewall to mount your switches. So if you purchased a set of windshield brackets and a wiring harness, this light installs really easy. You should be able to get the whole thing done in under two hours including all of the wiring. There are no specialty tools necessary, but you will need some torque splits and some wiring tools like wire strippers and crimpers. Like I said before, the pricing for a light bar of this size varies hugely. There are sub $100 light bars and there are light bars that cost more than $1,000. The Raxiom bar falls somewhere in the middle as far as cost of it goes, but for quality, I think you get a lot for your money.Installing a 50-inch light bar on your Jeep will throw a ton of light, which is really nice whether you're doing night time wheeling or just for those dark empty backroads. And the Raxiom light bar throws all of that light you would expect in a high-quality package. So that's my review of the Raxiom 50 in. Double Row LED Light Bar fitting all 1987 to 2016 Wranglers that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
