The Rancho RS9000XL Extended Travel Rear Shock for 4.50-Inch Lift delivers nine levels of manually adjustable ride control to optimize vehicle handling both on and off road. Designed for demanding applications such as towing, hauling, or trail driving, it provides enhanced damping performance that adapts to changing terrain and load conditions.

This shock absorber features a durable 18mm nitro-carburized piston rod resistant to wear and corrosion, and a robust 1.25-inch sintered iron piston within a tri-tube steel body. Filled with all-weather fluid, it maintains consistent operation across a wide temperature range, and is finished with a premium metallic coating complemented by a protective polyvinyl boot to ensure extended service life under harsh conditions.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill but no drilling, as it replaces factory mounts using double-welded loop bushings for reliable mounting. Designed specifically to fit lifted rear suspensions requiring extended travel, this shock requires an aftermarket rear driveshaft to prevent interference with the fuel tank skid plate during maximum articulation.
