Hi, guys. So today we're checking out the rear fold-up interior storage rack fitting all 2007 to 2018 four-door JK Wranglers. So if you are looking to maximize the storage space inside of your cargo area whether you're taking your Jeep off-road a lot or you're just sticking to the street, this option is going to be a great choice to take a look into. Now this is gonna offer a large elevated surface in the back keeping your cargo separate which I do personally really like, especially for the trail for muddy tools and recovery tools. And this is going to hold up to 75 pounds. Now that is pretty impressive for the overall construction. I do personally think that this is a very functional system and what I also really like about it as it says in the name, this is a fold-up rack. So all you have to do is pull a handle and this will completely fold up and out of the way giving you a lot of access to any lower cargo that you may store underneath here. Now this is gonna mount up to the rear seat brackets as well as to the side rollbars. So this is compatible with the hard top as well as the soft top. And overall, I personally think that this is a very functional system. Now again, it is durable, made of a steel construction. We're gonna have a steel plate material underneath and a tubular construction around the sides. This is gonna offer some elevated edges to make sure that all of your cargo is staying in place and this is also gonna have multiple tie-down points so if you need to tie down any smaller cargo up on this rack, you can do that in multiple different ways. You're gonna have some in the middle, of course these rails on the side, and you're gonna have one in each corner as well. And not to mention it's also gonna come with a nice black powder coat finish on top matching any other black powder coated accessories that you already have inside or even outside of your Wrangler and of course protecting that steel underneath. Now what I do really like and what I find notable about this rack in particular is the fact that this is going to come with a shock to assist you when you need to fold up the rack. Now it's gonna help you if you even...if you have any cargo up top or even if you don't. It's just gonna make the process that much easier when you're accessing any lower cargo. Now speaking of that lower cargo area, I do really like how this mounts as well. This is gonna utilize the rollbars as well as the seat bracket mounts in the back. You can fold up the back seats. This will work in conjunction with that. But this is not gonna take up any space down here, which I do really like. So you can really maximize the storage space underneath as well as on the rack. Now with all that being said, this is gonna come in at roughly $400 and I personally think at that price point that this is a very functional rack and it's going to really get the job done when it comes to maximizing that storage in the back. Now there are other options available that are very similar to this. However, some may not fold up and out of the way when you're trying to access any lower cargo and some may utilize mounting points down here as well which again is going to take up some space as to where this is not going to do that. It's going to attach to that rollbar area, making sure that you're getting the most space in your lower cargo area. And there are gonna be other options that will add a little bit more security than this one does like a security deck enclosure. Now again, that is going to cover all of the cargo area and it's usually more for security rather than storage like this option. Again, I think if you're looking to maximize storage, I think if you're looking for something that's very functional, very easy to use, then this is going to be right up your alley. Now as far as install's concerned, I'm gonna give this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Some of the tools that you'll need are included in the kit. You will need some basic hand tools to get the rest of the job done. However, it's gonna take you no longer than an hour to do it in your driveway. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were an impact wrench, a 17-millimeter wrench, a ratchet, the provided Allen key, an 18-millimeter deep socket and a 17-millimeter shallow socket. So to kick off this install, we're gonna start by assembling the rack on the table. Now I have the main portion of the rack here flipped upside down and there are gonna be two supporting arms that we need to attach to either side as well as the strut that's gonna assist the rack in moving up and down. And then we'll be able to put it into the Jeep. So starting off, we can install our supporting arm. Now there's gonna be a tab up at the top that's gonna hook into this little hook here. That's gonna allow the rack to be released from this little cable here and allow it to move upward. Now what we're gonna do is install this arm in the back with our provided hardware. Now that is going to be the bolt, flat washer, and nylon locknut. We're actually gonna have three flat washers. One is gonna go in the middle, kinda allow it to move. And then one is gonna go on either side of the bolt. We can thread on that nylon locknut on the other side and tighten it up with a 17-millimeter socket and wrench. I would like to mention we're not going to completely tighten this up. We do want it pretty snug but we need to allow movement for the rack.So now we can repeat that on the other side. However, this side is gonna have two posts and we'll use those in just a second. But for the time being, we're gonna attach it at this back mounting point. Now while we're here, what we can also do is install our strut. So this is just going to pop on to these mounting locations. So before we actually install the rack inside our Jeep, we do need to install the mounts for the rollbar. Now this is gonna go around this area and keep that bracket in place to make sure that it hooks into the correct hooks so we can move the rack accordingly. So what I'm gonna do is take the provided Allen key and I'm actually gonna remove these bolts that are holding this together. Now that both of those are removed, what we can do is actually undo this, kind of flip it up to give ourselves some room. So then we can take the side with the one mounting bolt. This is going to be facing the inside of the cargo area. We can put this bracket around and thread those bolts back into place. Once you get one threaded a little bit, you can grab the other one. And again, I'm using that Allen key that's provided in the kit. Now for the time being, I'm gonna leave this just snugged up. I'm not gonna tighten it down completely just because I want a little bit of movement when we put our rack into the cargo area. So once that is on, we can repeat that process on the other side. So the supporting arm on our rack is gonna attach to this back seat bracket bolt. So I'm gonna remove this nut on either side of our seat bracket and I'm gonna use an 18-millimeter socket to do so.At this point, we can grab our rack and kinda maneuver it into our cargo area. So now that we have the rack generally in the location that it needs to be in the cargo area, what we can do is install one of the bolts on the roll barmount. We're not gonna tighten this up. We just wanna get this threaded in to give the rack a little bit of structure while we line up the rest of the supporting arms on either side. So we can do the same thing on the other side using the supplied hardware that comes with the rollbar mount. So what we can do now is secure the back part of the arm on our seat bracket using the factory hardware. So this is gonna go around the stud as you can see here. Then we can thread on the factory nut and tighten that up with an 18-millimeter socket. Then we can repeat that on the other side. So at this point, what we can do is tighten down the rollbar mount, the actual clamp part of the rollbar mount. I'm gonna push down on the rack, making sure that it's level and then we can use our provided Allen key and tighten that up. We can do the same thing on the other side. So after the clamp is tight, we can tighten down our bracket here to the clamp itself using a 17-millimeter socket. Then we can repeat that on the other side.So after everything is tightened up, you just wanna make sure that the rack is working properly and the handle is working properly underneath. Now if you do need to adjust that, there is a set screw and there is also an Allen key in the kit that is provided to you that you can adjust that screw with, but right underneath here is gonna be a handle that's gonna release the hooks on either side that are attached to this bracket that we just installed. As you can hear, it actuated and then the strut is going to assist you in flipping this backwards. So as you can see underneath, this is the handle that you would be actuating to flip the rack up. There's a set screw on the side to allow you to adjust these and this is going to be the cord or the post that's gonna actuate those hooks to attach the bracket here. Now there's also some padding, some felt padding to make sure there's no metal-to-metal contact, and what I also like about this is is the fact that there's cutouts on the bottom to allow you a tie-down point as well as the cutouts on the corners. So once you are finished with this up, what we can do is grab the handle and pull it back down, making sure that handle is open. You wanna lay the rack flat and then once that handle is closed, then it is attached to those brackets once again. So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
