I am wondering how this compares to other limited slip units. how well does it function for everyday driving? can I get more information on specifically how it works. thank you

        • The POWERTRAX Rear Locker functions like any other limited slip. It will deliver different amounts of traction based on throttle input.

will this work with the 2013 and newer JK with the automatic transmission? there are articles reporting the mechanical lockers will mess with the traction controland cause the computer to go into limp mode.

I see that another customer asked if this will fit with a Yukon 4.88 ring gear and the Extreme-Terrain answer was that it will "work with a 3.73 and numerically higher gear". This contradicts the Powertrax website that states it is a "3.73 Carrier and Lower". I called Powertrax spoke with tech support he stated it could only be used for 3.73 gears numerically lower. Anyway, this leaves me confused especially when none of the other brands of lockers appear to have a carrier split at 3.73 gears for a Jeep JK Dana 44 rear (but there is a split the Dana 30 front). Is there any confirmation of actually installing this limited slip with higher numerical gears in a JK rear?
