I'm Ryan with ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Oracle side mirrors with off road lights fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs. These are for those of you who want gutter lights when you're off road or on those dark back roads and looking out for any wildlife that might be jumping out in front of you. These lights will also change up the look of your Jeep. But in my opinion, these are more of a functional modification than they are a visual one. Now, Oracle is known for making really high quality products, and this is no different. However, that also means you're going to pay a top tier price. So if these are in your price range and this is an area that you're looking to add some additional light to, these may be a good option for you. Now, it's important to note that these are the housings that are molded to look similar to a factory housing, except they have a spot for the light and, of course, the light themselves. But this is not a full replacement mirror. You're going to be taking your factory mirror guts out of your factory housing and stuffing them into these new housings. So if you have a broken mirror and you're looking for a replacement, this is not the place to go. You're still going to need all of your factory mirror inners to put inside of these new housings. Now, that being said, the housings are a high quality mold. They do look very similar to factory except for, of course, the fact that they are a little bit of a different shape with the lights in them. Each one of these mirrors has 12 1-watt Cree LEDs. And these produce light at a 6,000K color temperature, which is really the standard for LED lighting color temperatures and will match any other auxiliary LED lights that you have or LED headlights. These are a 45-degree beam pattern, and they do a great job of diffusing and throwing lights to the side of the Jeep into the gutters, which is exactly what they're designed to do. These also have external drivers so that they are replaceable and should last a little bit longer than an internal driver. And they have heat sinks on the inside to dissipate hate, which is a killer of LED diodes. The lights themselves are covered with an acrylic lens and they have an anodized aluminum rock guard right over top of them. Just to give you an idea of how well thought out these lights are, if you were to contact a tree, an off road obstacle, or even an on-road obstacle with these lights, they have small stanchions on the inside of them that are built in and designed to be completely removable and replaceable. So if you hit something with the mirror, you break the mirror internally, you can swap out that stanchion and still use your mirror without having to purchase a whole new one. That just goes along with what Oracle is known for, making a really high quality well thought out product. As I said, these include the housings. You'll stuff your own inners inside of them and use your factory mirror bases. And they come with all of the wiring, so you'll have everything you need to get them hooked up. These mirrors come with color printed instructions that make the installation really, really simple. Now, the first step in the installation is to remove your factory mirrors from your Jeep. And you'll do that by removing a couple of Torx bolts on the inside of the door. Now, if you have heated mirrors, you will also have to remove the inside door panel in order to unplug the wiring harness and fish it out of the door. So that's one extra step that will be added if you have those heated mirrors. Once you have your factory mirrors off of the Jeep, you can go ahead and remove the inner mirror from the mirror housing. And that's done with three Torx bolts that you can get to once you turn the mirror a little bit inside the housing. You'll be able to get to two of the bolts. You turn the other direction, you can get to the third bolt. After that, you'll remove the factory mirror base from your factory mirror housings, and you'll have everything separated. Then it's just a matter of putting your factory guts inside this new mirror housing feeding your wire down through the base of the housing through your factory mirror base and attaching that base on to your new housing again. From there, you can feed the wiring through the door, attach the mirror back on to the door, and then go to reattaching any of your factory wiring harnesses or either heated or power mirrors and your additional two wires for the lights on the mirrors themselves. You can use a lot of different sources to power the lights on the mirrors, anything from a switch source to tying them into some other auxiliary lights that you may already have installed on the Jeep. The whole installation process should take you under two hours to complete. And you won't need any specialty tools. However, you'll need a good set of Torx bits, a Phillips and flat head screwdriver, and some wiring tools. As I said before, Oracle is a top tier brand, and their products do demand a top tier price. And I'm certainly not saying that these aren't worth the price. I think they are. They're very, very high quality. They're very well made, well thought out. I think they'll last a long time. They serve a purpose. They're very functional. And they also do add a little bit of style to the Jeep as well. However, for my money and for my budget, if I needed some additional light on the gutters, I would probably go with an A pillar light aimed to the outside or even an A pillar mount that allows me to have two lights on it, one facing forward and one facing to the outside. In my opinion, you can get the same amount of light to the outside of the Jeep doing that, and you could get away a little bit cheaper than these lights are. However, like I said, if you have the budget for it, you like the look. These are very functional and very well built. So if you're looking for some additional light to the outside of the Jeep to light up the gutters on those dark back roads or when you're hitting the trails at night, this is a really nice option. These are incredibly well built, very bright. However, they do have a price tag that goes along with a top tier product. So that's my review of the Oracle side mirrors with off road lights fitting all 2007 to 2016 JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.

Perfect for my needs.
I am not a rock crawler but travel very winding trails at night. The forward facing OR lights never seem to light the sides where I am turning. I was planning on mounting lights straight forward at the lower windshield corners and pointing them out when needed. These mirror lights save me the hassle, look great, and I don't have to worry about covering them as no one knows they are there. Could not be happier. The lights were an easy install.

make sure you have the right tools
this is a great lock. the fact that it uses my factory key is awesome, it adds a great deal of security, and it is easy to install. i didn't realize that this would require a special rivet gun, so make sure you have one that will accommodate a 1/4" rivet before you try to install.
