      Description

      Replacement Self-Adjusting Lever Kit. Ensure your drum brake operates reliably and maintains good pressure over time by restoring the self-adjusting mechanism inside with this Jeep Wrangler self-adjusting hardware kit. The self-adjuster inside drum brakes ensures that the brakes engage effectively as the drum shoes wear out. When the self-adjuster goes bad, the drum shoes won’t continue engaging properly as they wear. This kit is meant for the inside of 2000-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ vehicles.

      Steel Hardware. This kit features steel levers, pins, washers, and other replacement parts. It’s designed to withstand the demands of regular braking effectively for years after being installed.

      Medium Installation Difficulty. This self-adjusting hardware kit is moderately difficult to install and should be handled by mechanics most of the time. Installing this kit on one drum brake takes approximately 30-60 minutes for an experienced mechanic and requires opening the brake drum carefully to access and replace the components.

      Required Upgrades. This kit fully replaces the self-adjusting lever mechanism within the drum brake, but it’s recommended to install additional drum springs and hardware as well as brake shoes when replacing this mechanism.

      Application. 2000-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models utilize this self-adjusting hardware kit for rear drum brakes.
