Hey, guys. So today, we're checking out the Dana 35 Rear Axle Differential Carrier for 3.55 to 4.56 Gears, fitting all 1994 to 2006 YJ and TJ Wranglers excluding the Rubicon models. Now if you're in the market to re-gear your Wrangler and the OEM differential carrier will not fit a lower gear ratio, then this option is gonna be a great choice to take a look into. So this carrier will specifically fit in the rear at Dana 35 axle, and we'll be able to hold a gear ratio from 3.55 to 4.56.Now some differential carriers on the YJ and TJ straight out of the factory are not able to accommodate a larger ring gear so opting for a new carrier will be a great solution to that. Not only are you getting the upgrade there but if you have done some damage to your factory carrier, and you're looking for an upgrade as well as a replacement, then this is gonna be a great choice. Now this carrier will be an open carrier, so this will not have any locking capabilities, however you will be able to upgrade your performance as far as upgrading the actual gear ratio is concerned to match with any larger wheels tires.Now this is an OEM style differential carrier so you can expect it to fit and function exactly like the factory carrier, the only difference is that this will be able to accommodate for a larger ring gear or a lower gear ratio. Not to mention, this will not only include just the carrier and the spider gears inside themselves, but this is also gonna come with the bearings, the races and even the bolts for the ring gear in order to mount this up and get inside your Jeep.As far as pricing is concerned, this is gonna come in at roughly $350 which I personally think is a fair price for what you're getting out of it kit. Now this is going to be a pretty complicated part as far as your drive train is concerned, but I definitely would pay a pretty penny for something that is going to hold up for a very long time and be installed for a very long time like this specific carrier will. Now other options on the page may include locker choices which will be able to lock the carrier or the spider or the actual gearing inside for better traction while you're out on the trail depending on the actuation or they're going to be options for a limited-slip differential instead of an open carrier like this.Now basically an open carrier is what you probably have on your TJ or YJ from the factory, however there are some exceptions. Now the big thing about this is that going to be very inexpensive in comparison to those locker choices that are going to jump up in price because of the extra functionality. Now I personally think if you're just looking for a replacement carrier that's going to fit a larger ring gear and hold up for a long time, then this is going to be a great choice.Now as far as installation is concerned, I'm gonna give it a big three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and I would hide highly recommend that a professional installs this at a reputable shop. Like I said, these are a little bit complicated in comparison to some other mods on your Wrangler and you definitely want to make sure that again this holds up for a very long time and is installed properly.Now this is gonna require special tools and a lot of measurements to make sure that it is sitting in the correct spots for your Jeep and inside your differential. So I will keep that in mind when you are shopping around for a new carrier, nonetheless, this is going to be a great replacement part as well as an upgrade to your YJ or your TJ if you're looking to re-gear your Wrangler.
