      Description

Specs. Alloy USA has gone through a lot of trouble to create a better OEM fitted rear axle kit for the YJ and TJ Wranglers. This kit was made for the Dana 35 C-clip rear axle to increase off-road performance. Constructed of 4140 chromoly, which is 35 percent stronger than stock 1040 axles, this kit will take any abuse you can think of. Alloy USA strives to meet the demands of the trails, resulting in a reliable and durable axle for your off-road expeditions. If your Jeep is sluggish with bigger tires, then this rear axle kit is a cost effective way to solve that problem without upgrading the differential. Both driver and passenger side shafts, seals, bearing and wheel studs are included for installation.

Application. This Alloy USA 27-Spline Dana 35 Rear Axle Kit is designed for the 1990 - 2006 Wrangler YJ & TJ models equipped with Dana 35 C-clip rear axles without an Anti-lock Break System.

        5 1999 Wrangler - ShawnS

        Worked beautiful...

Easier going in than the old ones I pulled... Less than 3 hours and they were done... (had no bearing puller, so fought getting the old one out...). No mechanic but YouTube and common sence... and my Jeep rides smooth.... even at 80.

        5 2000 Wrangler - MichaelG

        Good product!!

2000 TJ with 6" lift and 35's. These installed easily without any issues. I have not tried on trails yet but will be assured they are stronger than the stock axles. I only changed one side at a time so the spider gears stay in place. I found that the original seals and bearings were still good so I have a spare new set just in case. From my research, I found the C-Clips are not the failure point...the axles snap first.

      Questions & Answers (4 answers)

      4 Top Rated Questions

In the description for this product, it says replacing the stock axles with these can help counter big wheels making the jeep sluggish, implying that it can reduce the need for upgrading the diffs. Is this true? How does that work? I haven't read anything about this being true.

Are the wheel studs already pressed in? And do I get the seal. And are the bearing pressed on already or no?

      • The wheel studs are not pressed nor are the bearings. Both driver and passenger side shafts, seals, bearing and wheel studs are included for installation.

Will these be able to handle 35’s and a regear for a 95 yj?

      • These upgraded axles will be able to support a 35 inch tire.

will this axle set up work on my 03 Wrangler with a Dana 35? If not why?

      • This Alloy USA Rear Axle Kit for a Dana 35 in a 27 spline will not work with a 2003 Wrangler. Beginning in 2003, Jeep introduced anti-lock braking systems into the Wrangler. These axles do not have the provision for a tone ring (also known as an exciter ring) to communicate with the ABS system.
