Improved Handling. Old Man Emu's Steering Stabilizer reduces wheel vibration to improve the overall handling and performance of your Wrangler. This stabilizer is perfect for those looking minimize bump steer while off road and features a heavy duty construction to provide reliable handling and performance both on road and on the trail.

Durable Construction. OME's stabilizer features 9 stage coil spring valving and a 0.6" piston rod for superior performance and strength over your JK's stock stabilizer. Designed with a larger piston and bore, this stabilizer has an increased oil volume and is sealed tight with a multi lip seal to prevent leaks. It features a twin tube design to prevent damage from road and trail debris for continued performance off road.

Application. The Old Man Emu Steering Stabilizer is designed for use on 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK models and requires relocation bracket FK50 for installation.

Calmed down the bump I had after I put on my lift kit. It also seemed to keep the tires from following grooves in the pavement as much. Took 10 minutes to install. Great product and Extreme Terrain ...

This ss Pull left like another ss? (e.g. Fox) I have Fox ss but I am not happy with it because the pulling left is vivid. I want a new ss without pulling!

  • Thank you for your question! The steering stabilizer should not cause any pull in the steering. I would recommend to check your tie-rods, and even get an alignment.

Your website is telling me I need to order a relocation bracket, but you don't carry it? I don't understand that...

MichaelL

  • Unfortunately, the Old Man Emu Steering Stabilizer does require the Bracket (part # FK50 ) for installation and we do not currently carry that item.

    Immediate Improvement

After installing the steering stabilizer there was an immediate improvement on the steering. Its much smoother and more responsive. Installation was pretty easy, our 2014 Willy's edition came stock with a steering stabilizer so no additional bracket was needed. We did have to sand down the bushing to fit the factory bracket, but then it went really easy.

    Finishing touch.

This is the last thing I did to the suspension. It really finished everything off nicely. It made it all feel smooth and more predictable on the highway and took a very noticeable amount of shock out of the rocks on the trail. OME is high quality good stuff!

    Smooth on and off road

This stabilizer is superbly engineered to fit the JK Jeep and provides enough dampening for those oversize tires. Extreme Terrain!

    OME steering stablizer

Had a Rancho that I would have shimmy when hit bumps. With OME that problem is gone.

    No More wobles or shakes!

Bolts right into factory brackets takes about 15-20 minutes. Much stronger than the stock stabilizer. Great quality at a great price.

    Emu smooth!!

This stabilizer smooths out any shake you may have with your oversize tires. Easy to install..had to expand jeep mount on axle slightly to accommodate the bigger shock but squeezed back together when tightened. Didn't use the relocation part, didn't need it. 18mm socket is needed. This stabilizer is worth the price.

    Very nice and easy

Exact part to replace factory, installed in about 15 minutes in driveway and made a big difference in the handling took a lot of the road walk out.
