Fuel Cell Package. The Motobilt 15-Gallon Fuel Cell Package in bare aluminum provides a durable and reliable fuel storage solution designed specifically for Jeep TJ, LJ, JK, and JKU models. It installs securely in the rear bed area of the vehicle, ideal for applications that require extended wheelbases or additional ground clearance. The fuel cell utilizes the stock fuel pump and comes with provisions for straightforward installation without modification.

Construction and Appearance. Constructed from 1/8 inch thick aluminum that is CNC cut and pressed into shape, the tank is TIG welded for enhanced strength. Included is a large D-ring style fuel cap, while safety and functionality are ensured with a brass rollover valve and vent line fitting. The mounting hardware features CNC laser cut steel components designed for durability and secure attachment. The tank is finished in bare aluminum, which allows for a lightweight build and easy customization.

Installation. Designed for ease of installation, the fuel cell includes pre-cut provisions for the clamping ring and fuel pump, requiring no cutting or drilling. Adjustments such as seat repositioning may be necessary on 2005 and 2006 TJ models to accommodate the tank size. The vent hose should be routed to loop around the tank before exiting beneath the Jeep to ensure proper venting.

Application. This fuel cell fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models. Note that 2005 and 2006 TJ vehicles may require seat remounting or repositioning to provide adequate clearance. The tank mounts only inside the Jeep bed and does not install between the frame rails. Use is recommended for off-road applications only.
