      Description

      Understanding A Mini Spool. Motive Gear’s Dana 44 Rear Differential Mini Spool is a cost-effective alternative to a full spool, replacing the differential’s spider gears and installing into the pre-existing open carrier. This product ties the two axles to the ring gear, applying constant torque to both rear wheels at all times. Though this harms streetability to an extent, it provides far greater off-road traction for far less of a price compared to full spool rear ends. 

      Improved Traction. Your Jeep comes from the factory with an open rear differential, allowing the two rear wheels to move independently to benefit streetability and navigate tight turns. However, while helpful during everyday street driving, an open rear end drastically reduces off-road traction. A mini spool corrects this issue, forcing power to both rear wheels at all times to allow your Jeep to conquer nearly any obstacle. 

      Durable Construction. This mini spool is manufactured from pure, heavy-duty steel for superior strength and durability. 

      Cost-Effective. This rear mini spool is an excellent, cost-effective means of installing a locker into the rear differential of your Jeep. Instead of removing the carrier altogether to install a full spool/locker, this product installs into the factory carrier in place of the spider gears to lock the two axles together.   

      Warranty. A limited warranty protects this product against manufacturing defects for the duration of 1-year or 50,000-miles after purchase. 

      Application. This Motive Gear Dana 44 Rear Differential Mini Spool fits all 1988-2006 Jeep Wrangler YJ and TJ models.
