Reinforce Your Tailgate for Larger Tires. Larger tires are considerably heavier than your 2018-2022 Jeep Wrangler JL’s original stock tires and can place undue strain on your tailgate. The Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement Kit is designed to beef up your tailgate so you can carry your larger spare tire – up to 37 inches – with confidence.
Durable Aluminum Construction. The Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement Kit’s beefy main reinforcement body is made from high-quality aluminum for increased strength without the added weight. A tough black powder coat finish further protects the unit from corrosion, as well as any bumps it might receive when driving.
Simple Installation. The Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement Kit comes with all the necessary hardware for installation, and attaches to the factory hinges for convenience. No modifications on your Jeep or specialized tools are needed, so installation is a fairly simple procedure. Please note that an oversized spare tire carrier (sold separately) is required in order to accommodate your larger, 33 inch to 37 inch tires properly.
Standard 2-Year Limited Warranty Applies. The Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement Kit is covered by a 2-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. Please visit the manufacturer’s website for further details.
