Merideth: Hey guys. So today we're checking out the Mammoth front and rear ring and pinion gear kit with the master overhaul kit and a 4.56 gear ratio fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. Now, if you've upgraded your tire size and noticed that your Jeep has some loss in power, your fuel economy has gone down and you're overall just looking for some better performance on and offroad, upgrading your gears may be in your wheelhouse. Now this option by Mammoth will be a solid way to get everything that you need to gain that performance back, that you may have lost. Now choosing what the right gear ratio is for you does come down to what motor and transmission that you have in your JK. But generally, a 4.56 gear will be a good ratio for the JK owners that have upgraded to a 35 to a 37-inch tire and want good drivability that you would find in a daily driver, full overdrive use for highway situations, and also they're moderately taking their JK off-road and want consistent gear changing when changing elevations. Now, if you're not necessarily sure what gear ratio is for you, there are charts available on the website. So I would double-check those for your application. I also would keep in mind that this is available for the Rubicon, with the Dana 44 in both the front and the rear, and the non-Rubicon with the Dana 30 in the front and Dana 44 in the rear. So I would keep that in mind if you are looking at purchasing these gears. Nonetheless, these will be very durable made of a precision heat-treated high-quality steel construction. Now, this kit will also come with a master overhaul kit, as you can see here, which will cover everything that you need in order to install a new ring and pinion gear, including bearings, shims, seals, and gaskets. Now, when it comes to the price, this will come in at roughly $750 for the set, which is pretty average for a full kit. Now, something to keep in mind when shopping around is that some kits will include an install kit and some kits will include a master overhaul kit. Now install kits will not include everything that you see here. And a master overhaul kit is going to be very in-depth with all the components that you need in order to install a new ring and pinion gear. So I would just keep that in mind. Now, an install kit will be more for somebody who doesn't necessarily need to replace everything. However, if you wanna make sure that all of your bases are covered, a master overhaul kit, like this one by Mammoth will be for you. Not to mention some kits, just come with the ring and pinion gears themselves. So if you're looking for a fully inclusive kit, this option by Mammoth will get the job done. Now, when it comes to install, this will be a three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and I would highly recommend taking your Jeep to a professional and get these installed. Now the job will take roughly six hours and will require specialty tools in order to get the job done. However, that's going to wrap it up for my review on the Mammoth front and rear ring and pinion gear kit with the master overhaul kit and a 4.56 gear ratio fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers.
