Review & Install Video
I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com and this is my review of the Lloyd Black Cargo Mat, fitting all 2007-2016 JKs. There are a couple of different versions of this mat for different year ranges and body styles, so make sure you get the one that fits your Jeep. This mat does a really nice job finishing off the look of the rear cargo area of your JK and it'll also give a little bit of protection to your factory carpet. Now obviously this isn't one of those molded rubber mats that's designed to be easily removed, hosed off and put back in the Jeep. So this isn't gonna be for those muddy off-road trail messes. But again, if you're looking for a finished look and a little bit of protection, this is a really nice way to go.This mat is made with a two-ply nylon yarn and it has a latex moisture barrier built right into it. The whole back of the mat is covered with a non-slip rubber material which is really nice when you're sliding things in and out of the cargo area of your Jeep. The mat is not gonna move around on you.You can really tell when you pick up this mat that it's high quality and it's really well built. I like the fact that it's black to match the interior of the Jeep and it has the silver embroidered logo. I'd much rather have the model of the vehicle embroidered on the mat than the manufacturer's name plastered across it like a billboard. That's a big win in my book.Again, this is a really high quality mat. It's actually a nicer built product than even some of the other Lloyd mats, the All-Weather line. And it's definitely gonna be a lot nicer than those less expensive mats that are on the market. As far as installation goes, well, it's a floor mat. You pretty much just drop it into place. You'll open up the tailgate of the Jeep and lay this in. Because these mats are designed to work with your specific year, range and body style, they're contoured to fit really nicely and you'll get full coverage and full protection of your carpet. The installation shouldn't take you more than a couple of minutes and you won't need any tools to get it done. Mats are expensive any way you cut it, especially a large rear cargo mat like this. Well, when you consider what you're protecting, which is the interior carpeting of your Jeep that's much more expensive, all of a sudden this becomes a worthwhile investment. Now, these aren't the cheapest mats out there. There are less expensive ones, but they're definitely not gonna hold up as well as this will. So in my opinion, it's worth it to spend a little bit of extra money and get something that you're not gonna have to replace year after year. So if you have the budget for it, I think this is a really nice value for the dollar. So if you're looking to not only protect the factory carpet in your Jeep but also give the interior more of a finished look, I think this is a nice option. It's really well built and while it might be a little bit more expensive than some of the other options on the market, I think this is worth the extra money. So that's my review of the Lloyd Black Cargo Mat fitting all 2007-2016 JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.
