        Maximum Street Legal Lighting. The headlights your Wrangler TJ came with barely get the job done. These street legal replacement KC Hilites 7 in. Halogen Headlights are an upgrade. Set at the maximum level of brightness approved by the DOT, these lights are useful for everyday driving and off-road trail riding.

        Exceptional Illumination. These lights feature H4 halogen bulbs with a 55-60 wattage. Each bulb is enhanced with precision multi-surface reflector optics. The output of the headlights is 1,650 lumens on high beam use and 1100 lumens on low beam use.

        Smart, Sturdy Engineering. Built to last, not just to shine, these the lenses of these lights are made of hard-coated polycarbonate to withstand pressure and impact. A rubber boot design protects the lights from water and UV damage.

        DOT and SAE Approved. These KC HiLiTES 7" H4 DOT Lexan Headlights pass both DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) certification and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) certification requirements making legal for street use.

        I have the exact same question as the one that's already been asked by TJHooker but not answered yet. Please advise!

        • Unfortunately no. I called KC about this and they confirmed they were black, I was so stoked and oredered them. When they came in they weren't black so I called and was informed by someone new there that they had no black lights. WTH! So no, they most certainly aren't!

        The reflector appears darker than OEM in the pictures. Is that accurate or is it just due to the photo angles? I'm blacking out the front end of my TJ and darker colored reflectors would look great.

        • I had the exact same question so I called XT to find out what was what and they were not sure. So I then reached out to KC HiLiTES themselves and they stated that they're NOT tented at all. Sigh!!!!

        Are these pair of lights different from the single hilites offered right below? Per description they are the same but if I buy two singles it's cheaper than buying the pair?? This is normally the opposite and it's cheaper to buy more.

          Great Upgrade for the $$$

          Easy install, huge improvement over stock headlights in my 2000 TJ. Great price. Look awesome. Best option out there if you’re keeping it old school like me and not converting to LED/HID.

          I got these because the better ones KC had were out of stock. But they are better then factory headlights. They look pretty shinny too!

          Nice Headlights

          A good improvement over the stock headlights in my 05. The lights came packaged very well, they installed very easy (less than 1 hour), they have an improved appearance over stock and with slight adjustments cast better light than the stock lights. I think they are a good value for the improvement you get.

          Lighting the Way

          Much brighter than stock. Hi-beams not much brighter. Light pattern is nice. They look like jewels on the front of my TJ. Great value!

          Great upgrade... noticeably brighter.

          Quite honestly and amazingly, I’m not sure I’ve ever changed out the OEM headlights. Noticeable brightness difference. Different shadow cast compared to the stocks but not an issue. Expected KC quality all the way. Unless you’ve got a magnetized star bit screwdriver, be careful in removing and installing! – the screws are easy to lose.

          Best Lights for the Money

          Easy to install, and very bright I can see the future with these bad dogs on my Jeep. Trust me, do yourself a favor and purchase these lights you will not be happier. No joke these light up the entire road and easy to install.

          Kc hilites? More like LOW lights!

          If I could give the less than 1 star I would! Wanted to keep the nostalgic look of the jeep so I went wit the kc lights but the fact is these have Terrible light cast right out of the box. Horrible shadow casts and distance is about 7-8 ft. Literally with no side lighting. If the box wouldn't have been trashed i'd have sent them back.

          Easy swap

          Very easy to remove stock fog lamps and replace with these much better lights! They work perfectly- much brighter than originals, and look awesome. No electrical hassles as they literally just swap out, though we did purchase a wire extender as we mounted ours on a bull bar. We used our stalk fog light switch so no need to install a new one on the dash. We drive with these on even during the day, and especially on dusty trails, as they increase visibility signicantly to oncoming vehicles. A no brainer upgrade.

          Yeah...These

          If you are looking for a clear lens, but without the look of more modern LEDs, this is the kit. They look great, are as easy to install as any TJ light replacement, and are significantly brighter than the stock element.
