Hey, guys, it's Sara with extremeterrain.com. And today we have a review and install the KC HiLiTES 7-Inch Gravity Pro LED Headlight with a Black Housing and Clear Lens, fitting your '07 to '18 Jeep Wrangler JK models. This headlight is perfect for the JK owner who wants to upgrade their headlights to an LED and wants a combination style headlight with a projector low beam and a very bright LED reflector high beam. These around 7-inch headlights feature durable black aluminum housings with clear polycarbonate lenses. This headlight is weather-sealed to keep out dust and moisture and has a weatherproof rating of IP68 which is the highest waterproof rating for electronics. Now, as I mentioned before, the high beam on this headlight is very bright. It has several reflector lenses along the outside with an LED each. So, when you turn on those high beams, they're extremely bright and put out up to 3000 lumens. Now, keep in mind when you are looking to purchase these headlights, they are sold separately, so you will need to purchase two of them to get a set. But they are DOT and SAE approved meaning they're legal for on-road use.So, as far as price goes, these headlights come in at around $450 each, they are sold separately, as I mentioned before. That will put them on the higher end price-wise when compared to other options. And for your money, you are getting a very bright LED headlight from a company known for quality and performance. And as far as the install goes, I'm giving this one a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It does feature a direct bolt up and plug-and-play install with no wiring required and can be done within 30 minutes. So, with that said, let's check out that install. For this install, we used an impact gun as well as a Phillips head socket, but you can use a plain Phillips head screwdriver. You will also need a pop clip removal tool. All right, so the first step in our uninstall is to grab a pop clip removal tool and remove all the pop clips along the top of your grille. With your pop clip removal tool, go ahead and remove each of these pop clips. Now, if you don't have this specific tool, you can use a flathead, just be careful when you're prying up on these pop-ups because they are plastic. Now, before we can remove the grille, we need to remove the connector for the fog light. All you need to do is pull back on the red tab, press on the black tab, and remove it. Now you can repeat that on the other side. Now with our fog lights unplugged and all the pop clips out of the top of the grille, you can grab the bottom of the grille and pull it straight back towards you to release it. Now that we have the grille out of the way we can see the metal ring that holds on the headlight. There's four screws that hold this metal ring on, so grab your Phillips head socket, we'll go ahead and get this removed. Repeat that with the rest of your Phillips heads. Continue on to remove the rest of your Phillips head screws. And once all the Phillips head screws are removed, go ahead and remove the headlight. You can pull it straight forward and then see the connector at the back. Pull back on the red tab, press it down on the green tab to remove it. You'll also need to remove this ring around the outside. Let's go ahead and pull up on each of the mounting points to remove it. Now we have our new headlight here, we're gonna get it plugged in and then lined up in this housing. Now, if you look at the edge here, there are several little tabs and they line up right around the outside, so make sure your tabs are all lined up properly when you're getting installed. Let's start out by plugging it in. You wanna hear that click and then press the red tab down to lock it in place. Slide your wiring in and then line up the headlight. Then once you've done that, go ahead and grab the metal surround that holds it in place and slide it over top, then you can reinstall the factory screws. And then with your Phillips head screwdriver or Phillips head bit, tighten it down. Repeat that with the rest of your hardware. All right, so now that we have our factory headlight uninstalled from our Jeep, we can check it out side-by-side with our new headlight here. Now, as you can see, design-wise this one is very different. It features a projector-style lens in the center with reflector lenses all around the outside. So, you do get the best of both worlds. You get that projector lens to get you a brighter and more focused beam of light on the low beam, but still that powerful reflector with LEDs around the outside for your high beam. It also features a black housing with a clear lens to give it a more modern look as well. So, with that said, go ahead and repeat all those steps to install your passenger side headlight. And now we can replace the grille. Go ahead and line up each of the tabs on the bottom as well as the tabs up top, and press it into place. And now that the grille is in place, replace all of your factory pop clips. Don't forget to plug in your fog lights, one on each side, and press down on the red tab. Repeat that on the other side and press down on the red tab. All right, so that is gonna do it for the review and install of these headlights. And remember, for all things Jeep, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
