I bought this to replace the factory one on my 2019 JL Wrangler Sport, 3.6 . I love it. My gas mileage has increased a tiny bit. I love the way it makes my Jeep sound. Definitely worth the price.Helpful (0)

Performance and some growl
This is a nice modification for your jeep. I put it in my 18 JLU Rubicon. As others have said it definitely gives the jeep a notable difference in sound. It sounds good but can be a little obnoxious when the engine is under load climbing up hill. On that note the HP and Torque gains are noticeable and the jeep handles climbing up in to the mountains better than with the stock system. Going up I-70 out of Denver with the stock air intake made the jeep feel sluggish and it felt like it was struggling to maintain speed. With the KandN it really opened up the performance and gave the Jeep that little bit of extra it needed to get up the hills with out feeling like it was struggling. Have seen about a half mile per gallon increase in fuel economy. Was averaging 19.5 MPG combined and now in the same driving conditions I am seeing 20 MPG pretty consistently. My Rubicon is stock 4 door with steel bumpers, steel side steps and auto transmission. Installation was made easier with the video on the site.Helpful (1)

Clean and Fun System.
You ultimately pay for the quality and brand name with this system. It certainly opens up the 3.6, but it isn't going to wow you with gains. Slight MPG gain but nothing crazy. THE NOISE IS GREAT!! Snarls every time. Overall, my father enjoys it and I would consider it again.Helpful (1)

Sounds great. Easy Install.
The tricky part about this install is remove the old air intake. Watch the Extreme Terrain video for assistance. Once the old intake is out. The KandN goes in nice and easy. KandN guarantees that this will improve HP and torque. Others claim it also improves throttle response and gas mileage. I do not have any facts to support any of those claims, but I can say it feels like it. You can hear the intake sucking in air. The Jeep sounds more throaty and powerful for sure. Unfortunately, I have the Borla Climber Stinger exhaust and it sorta overpowers the sound of the intake. I 100 recommend this intake and I would buy it again.Helpful (1)

Nice little performance upgrade
This is a fairly easy install. The KN directions are good, but there are a couple of places to be careful. Treat the sensor that you remove from the factory assemble very gently. The pictures were helpful. I installed this is just over an hour and I'm no mechanic, just an average guy with a decent set of tools. You need a torx and a couple of allen sockets to make this install easy. The unit adds an interesting note to the 3.6L motor.Helpful (1)

Will this mod void the warranty? My Jeep is a 19 Rubicon UL. Thanks
Does this affect the factory warranty?
What does a tune mean? Can you do that with a Tazer? Or do you have to have it professionally tuned? What exactly is being changed to improve performance in the computer?
The tune being referenced is not necessarily a custom tune, no. A standard pre-loaded tuner would indeed enhance this cold air intake, just like it would enhance an otherwise stock Mustang. When it comes to custom tunes, custom tunes will be better than a preloaded tune, however a custom tune is only required when a product is advertised with a tuning being required.
