They are made following the factory specifications with dimensions measuring 3.70 x 2.40 x 2.20 inches. In addition, the bypass valve comes in its natural unfinished state.
ByPass Valve Installation. First of all, make sure that you only need to replace the bypass valve and not the entire oil filter assembly. If you are unsure, you can always bring your Jeep to your trusted mechanic. For a simple bypass valve replacement, you only need basic hand tools to disassemble the oil filter assembly to get to the bypass valve. Installing the bypass valve takes just a few minutes to complete.
