Description
High Performance Shocks. The ICON Vehicle Dynamics RXT 2.5 Series Rear Remote Reservoir Shocks with CDCV provide outstanding off-road performance combined with smooth street ride quality. Designed to deliver enhanced handling and suspension control, these shocks utilize vehicle-specific tuning to optimize length and damping for Toyota Tacoma trucks. Their external adjustability allows drivers to fine-tune compression damping effectively according to terrain and driving conditions.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from one-piece impact extruded aluminum cylinders, these shocks offer reduced weight and superior corrosion resistance. The use of 6061 billet aluminum in the internal manifold provides durability and an innovative Bump Zone to increase damping as the shock compresses. Components are CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, while the finish provides a consistent, corrosion-resistant texture. The chrome plated shock shaft ensures longevity and performance under harsh conditions.
Installation. Installation requires the use of multi-rate leaf springs and is compatible with rear lifts up to 2.625 inches. The process is moderately complex but does not require drilling, maintaining the integrity of the vehicle’s factory mounting points.
Warranty. A manufacturer warranty is included to support product reliability and customer confidence.
Application. Designed to fit 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma models, excluding 2005-2015 2WD 5-lug versions. Compatible with specific rear lift heights provided by multi-rate leaf springs.
