Amazing Product - No Surprise Here
These shocks are as good as I was hoping. They completely changed the way my TJ is riding - way smoother and quieter of a ride. As always my experience with Extreme Terrain was great.Helpful (0)

Replaced Rancho front shocks with the Fox. This was a huge upgrade. Smoother ride and very easy install. The install does not require removal of front wheels, but it did require a second person. Looking forward to replacing the back ones.Helpful (1)

Worth the extra money!!
Ive got a TJ with 4" long arm and 2" ACOS pucks up front, installed these a few weeks ago along with some Currie Rock Jock springs, huge difference in ride quality on the highway and on the trail compared to the shocks that I had on before, one of the best purchases Ive made. I knew they were going to be nice but when I pulled them out of the box I was amazed at the feel of them and quality. I highly recommend these to anybody whether your jeeps bone stock or fully built.Helpful (2)

The install was very straightforward - usual shock install process. I previously had Bilstein 5100's and these feel softer on hard bumps, which is nice.Helpful (5)

THE ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS, THE INSTALL STRAPS HAD THE UPPER BUSHING AND BOLT STRAPPED IN. WITCH MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO INSTALL.Helpful (7)
Will these shocks work with a 2inch budget boost lift. I have it on a 2003 tj and want to replace my shocks
Hello, yes, you can use these shocks with your Budget Boost Lift.
What's the fox number for this shock
The Fox part number for this part is 980-24-645. You can find all manufacturer part number(s) (MPNs) under the price listing on our site.
What is the extension length of these? I need approx 27-28" for the rear shocks and 25" for the front.
Thank you for your question! The FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP Front Shock for 5-6 in. Lift are rated: Collapsed: 16.65" and Extended: 26.75". They offer 10.1" of travel.
I wondered if these would work with a 2 inch body lift. Or if you would have a different preference? Thanks
This would work with a 2" body lift yes.
Will these shocks fit my 06 Tj with a 3" suspension lift? I see a few people use them for 2" and 3" lift.
We cannot confirm fitment for these on anything other than a 4-6 inch lift.
At this time we do not offer the same product in a front/rear kit for 4-6" lifts.
You would want front shocks that are also suitable for 4.5"-6" of lift.
These are 17.75" fully collapsed and 28.85" fully extended.
When looking to get new fox shocks for your lifted wrangler I would recommend a set such as these for the 07 to 18 JKs. https://www.extremeterrain.com/fox-front-perf-ifp-15-35-980-24-887.html
The FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP Front Shock is designed for use on 1997 to 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and TJ Unlimited (LJ) models equipped with 3-4.5 inches of suspension lift. Making this unable to be used with your 2" lift.
Unfortunately we only offer parts for the Jeep Wrangler at this time.
