Description

Drum brakes sometimes get a bad rap as not being as good as disc brake systems, but drum brakes, if maintained properly, are efficient and effective in stopping your vehicle. The Omix-ADA Rear Brake Drum is a direct OEM replacement part for your Jeep Wrangler and will, if properly installed, provide years of service in keeping you and your passengers safe on the road.
Cast for Strength. Brake drums can crack and warp over time and thus, should be inspected and replaced with a quality-made part. The Omix-ADA Rear Brake Drum is a fully-cast metal part that is heavy and durable to ensure that it can handle the heat and pressure of the braking system. It is finned to enhance cooling and will bolt directly onto your Jeep.
Basic Installation. This is a basic installation which should not take a lot of time or expertise. However, once the brake drum is off, it is advisable to check all the other components of the drum brake system for wear and replace accordingly. While removing and replacing the brake drum is quite simple, it is a bit more involved when dealing with the other components. You should have a basic understanding of the system, a basic set of tools and a basic automotive repair comfort level and expertise, otherwise, have this and any other part installed by a professional.
