Description
High Clearance Rear Bumper. This high-clearance rear bumper features a modular three-piece construction with bolt-on side wings that provide excellent protection while maintaining rugged styling. It includes a hidden hitch receiver that does not reduce ground clearance, and a convenient flip-up license plate for easy access to the receiver hitch and trailer wiring connections. The bumper is equipped with an included license plate light for added visibility.
Construction and Durability. The bumper incorporates fully welded 3/4” thick D-ring clevis mounts for reliable recovery options. It is made of durable steel that ships in raw form, requiring painting or powder coating before installation to prevent rust and allow customization.
Installation. Installation requires cutting of the rear side body panels for proper fitment. Due to the cutting and fabrication involved, professional installation is recommended for best results, although it is not mandatory.
Application. This bumper fits 2016–2023 Tacoma models without blind spot monitoring or rear parking sensors. The design requires relocation of the OEM spare tire as it will no longer fit in its original position. It supports dual mount points for Baja Design S1 pod lights; however, the lights themselves are not included.
