Description
High-Performance Torque Converter. The B&M Tork Master 3000 Torque Converter is designed to enhance vehicle launch and acceleration while maintaining smooth daily driving characteristics. It accommodates engines with up to 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, making it ideal for street performance and lighter applications. This torque converter improves transmission efficiency and responsiveness, aiding in quicker throttle response and better overall performance.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from durable steel, this torque converter features a precision alloy steel pump tube, needle thrust bearing, and a new thrust washer where required. It is furnace brazed, fully balanced, and pressure tested to ensure reliability and smooth operation. The finish is practical and robust, built to withstand the demands of high-performance use.
Installation. Installation requires a flexplate change to ensure proper fitment and function. Further modification requirements vary by vehicle and transmission but may include typical transmission installation procedures.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 76-79 Jeep CJ7 models, this torque converter is suitable for applications requiring a 10.75-inch bolt circle and 2800-3200 RPM stall speed. It excludes other transmission variations and is not recommended for use with big block, supercharged, plate-type nitrous oxide, or trans-brake setups.
