Review & Install Video
This is for those of you that already have a soft top installed on your Jeep. The frame is bent or broken in one way or another, but the actual canvas of the soft top is in good shape and you just need to replace the frame. Or, if you have a hard top installed on your Jeep, you found a great deal on a soft top but you need a frame for it, this is going to be a good kit for you. Today we're gonna talk through the installation of this frame kit, which is a very simple one-out-of-three wrench installation. There are a lot of parts that come with this kit, so the install might take you two hours or a little bit more, but no major modifications or drilling necessary to your Jeep so it's still a very easy one-out-of-three wrench bolt-on install, and we'll talk more about that in just a second. Now, this is going to include everything you need as though you didn't have a soft top on your Jeep at all. It's going to have all of the frame work, but just not the soft canvas pieces. So, if you have a hard top, if you have a soft top, you're looking for a complete replacement, Bestop offers that where you get the frame and the soft top together. Bestop also offers a replacement top that's just going to be the soft canvas pieces and the windows, without the frame. And then, they offer this, which is just the frame without the soft canvas pieces. So, we and Bestop have you covered, no matter what you need for your soft top, whether it be the frame, the whole top, or just the canvas section. Now, this is going to be an OE-style frame, so it's going to look, function, and install just like an OE frame, but it's going to be less expensive than if you were to go directly to a dealership to purchase a brand new frame. As far as the construction goes, as I said, this is just like an OE frame. It's going to function, look, and be built just like one. It's going to be a metal frame covered in a powder-coat finish. This is going to have your header, your frame, all of your door surrounds, all of your brackets, everything that you need to install the soft top on your Jeep, except for the top itself. This is going to use all of your factory mounting locations on your sport cage and on your tub, so there's no drilling or major modification needed, and you'll be able to bolt your factory or factory-style soft top directly to this frame and use it very easily.Like I said, this is going to be a very easy one-out-of-three wrench installation. It may take you around two hours to get this installed, especially if you're installing that soft top on the frame because it's a couple of additional steps. But, it is going to be bolt-on, so it is going to be very easy without any major modifications needed. Just some hand tools, and you can do this in your driveway. Now, the first step in this installation is going to be a little bit of assembly. There are a couple of parts that come in the box that need to be bolted to each other before you actually put anything on your Jeep. From there, you can install all of the brackets on your Jeep if you don't currently have them installed. Go ahead and bolt the soft top to the frame so that you can very easily put that top up and down in a factory fashion. And then, finally, put the actual frame assembly on to the Jeep. Again, very easy install, but there are gonna be quite a few steps. Make sure you follow the instructions. Give yourself a little bit of time, and you can get this done in your driveway. This soft top frame is going to be pretty fairly priced at $600. Now, you're going to get a very high quality soft top frame that's going to install just like a factory one. It's going to include all of the parts, all of the brackets, everything you need to get it installed, and I do think it's worth the price if you're looking for a brand new soft top frame. So, whether you have a soft top installed on your Jeep, the canvas is good but the frame is beat and you're looking for a brand new frame, or you found a great deal on a soft top but you don't currently have a soft top frame for it, this is going to be a really nice option for you. This is gonna include everything you need, and it's going to operate and look just like a factory frame. So, that's my review of the Bestop OE Style Soft Top Replacement Frame and Bow Kit, fitting all 2007 and up JKs, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
