Extra Cargo Space. A Barricade Off-Road Roof Rack gives you the additional space you need to carry all your essential off-road cargo without sacrificing interior passenger space. This Barricade Off-Road Roof Rack System is perfect for your next off-road adventure or family vacation and can hold up to 350lbs of extra cargo.

Removable Cross Bars. Barricade Off-Road had the foresight to design their Roof Rack with removable cross bars. This removable cross bar design will allow for easy storage of different size cargo loads, as well as easy removal of either a soft or hard top without the need to disassemble the entire roof rack.

Heavy Duty Construction. Manufactured from heavy duty 2" diameter (0.12" wall thickness) steel tubing, this Barricade Off-Road Roof Rack System is completed in a textured black powder coat finish for aggressive good looks and long lasting corrosion resistance. For those with body lifts installed, this kit also includes three additional sets of spacers to accommodate the various body lifts on today's market, so there is no need to compromise on your rig.

Bolt-on Installation. The Barricade Roof Rack features an easy, bolt on installation and comes with all the required hardware and mounts. It’s designed to work with a variety of aftermarket bumpers, but will need extra clearances once installed. Due to the mounting clearances, this Roof Rack cannot be used in conjunction with any bumper that wraps around the side of your Jeep. Additional spacers are included to accommodate body lifts.

3 Year Limited Warranty. To ensure the highest quality of their materials and craftsmanship, Barricade backs their products with a 3 Year Limited Warranty. Some exclusions may apply, please see manufacturer's warranty for details.

Application. The Barricade Off-Road Roof Rack System is specifically designed to fit the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models equipped with an aftermarket bumper that does not wrap around the sides of your vehicle.

Technical Note. This Barricade Off-Road Roof Rack is for storage only; it is not designed for rollover protection.

When I removed the cross bars, most of the knobs had water in them and were stripped. Is there a better solution, to easily remove and install the cross bars, in place of the knobs?

      Good but required tweaking

Some instruction regarding how to remove the door would have been helpful and I had to ream out the holes on the drivers side rear horizontal support because the holes didn't line up. The rack is a bit wiggly in the rear with my kayaks installed, so I'm making up an adjustable brace back to the hard roof to steady it up some. The round cross bars were hard to use with the kayak J mounts and I had to drill and bolt them through the cross bars to keep them from rotating around when I loaded the kayaks - flat bars would have been much bettet. Otherwise it wasn't too hard to install and looks great!

      Rack Install

First off. The instructions are worthless. There is nothing that tells you which side the rear risers belong on. References to the bolts are vague, they should at the very least give you a length. The bolts for the rear bumper connection were too short, and because I have a Smittlybilt rear bumper, I needed to drill out the holes on the rear connection to accommodate the larger bolts holding on the bumper. I am satisfied once the the entire rack is assembled, but better instructions would helped.

      Necessary mods

Had to open up the holes on the rear portion that mount to the bumper, make sure you have a round hand file before you get started. Install was a pain, rubber mallet was very helpful, plastic caps for the cross bars are garbage. Nice and sturdy, looks great!

      200jeep Rubicon with rack lol

Dave Evans, Oxford, Ohio I have been very satisfied with the product and have received a lot of compliments on the rack. I use the rack to hawl my two 14ft. Kayaks . The rack is designed to do this well.I added large pads to the cross bars for easy loading and protect the boats. I installed the rack myself and the installation wasn't bad at all. Thanks ☺️

      Nice Rack!

You can't beat the price. Well packaged; you'll need a razor knife. It is a bit annoying to have to modify the holes when using a stock bumper because you can't simply drill them larger. The holes need to be bigger toward the center of the steel but the steel is thin toward the outside. I used a hacksaw blade and a round file. Still got the job done without help and cleaned up in under 4 hours. It takes a little wresting the pipes and I also used a cam strap to pull each side together in order to attach the cross pipes.

      Roof rack

Instructions not very clear by any means! The rack is sturdy once its built but getting to that point is a journey.. for the price it is worth it however and I can’t wait to put it to use!

      Noisy Roof Rack

It looks good and serves it's purpose hauling kayaks, but it was very difficult to install and I am sorely disappointed in the noise! This thing makes a constant humming noise when traveling down the road, my guess is it needs some type of wind deflector! Would I buy it again? NO..., IT IS TOO NOISY!

      Jeep on the beach

I just installed the new roof rack, 2 hours if everything goes great, it did not. My Jeep is a 1999 Sahara with double tube bumpers that had to go, to be modified later. The Jeep mirrors also lost their place I will have find new ones, but 4 hours and a few busted knuckles later. The rack looks great. I am sure I will enjoy loading the kayaks and heading to gulf Shores, Alabama.

      97 wrangler Flint Edition

Easy install looks great good quality steel. Took about 40 min to put together. The only thing I would change is the plastic knobs that hold connecting tubes on top otherwise great quality and I would recommend it. Now the test will be the tent I put on it...

Sturdy and good quality for the price.

The tubing used is thick, not cheap thin conduit like one of the competitors. It mounts securely and will certainly hold the advertised load. My only caveats: I had to drill the tubing in at a few joints to get it to fit right.

      Good but, needs improvements

Easy to install, seems to be rugged but, haven’t been tested in field. Don’t like the rail mounts would be hard to adjust without tools

      Sturdy and looks good.

Took me about ~3hrs all together but I worked slow / took my time. Trickiest part of install was the front door hinges - a head gun makes the difference.

      Perfect solution to limited storage

Perfect Utility, looks great, adds a lot of personality to the Jeep. super easy install with everything you need in the box and all factory mounting holes perfectly line up with the Jeep. This went on a ‘97 so volts omntje door hinges put up a fight, but that’s not the rack’s fault.

      Awesome addition

It was a challenging but rewarding one person install. Probably took me about two hours because a few of the pieces did not line up exactly. Worth the money. Looks cool and highly functional - used it to move supplies for a renovation including multiple sheets of plywood!
