Meredith: Hey, guys. So, today we're checking out the Axial seven-inch LED Daymaker headlights with the DV8 adapter, and the black housing, and a clear lens, fitting all 2018 and newer JL Wranglers. So, if you're in search of an affordable way to get better lighting performance for your JL, then this set of headlights will definitely get the job done. Now, these will offer clear visibility while you're driving at night if you're currently struggling with that, thanks to the bright LEDs, which will offer a huge upgrade in lighting. But also, these will be great if you're looking for a more modernized look to the front end of your JL if you're currently working with the factory halogen headlights. These will also be great for the JL owner who is looking for a stealthier appearance out of their headlights, considering that these have the blacked-out housing, all while still having a clear lens for optimal lighting performance. Now, getting into the construction, these will offer a durable aluminum housing on the back, a tough lens, all while being IP67 water, shock, and dustproof rated. These will also offer some high-performing three LEDs that will emit roughly 3,200 to 4,500 raw lumens depending on if you're using your high or low beam. Now, the lighting will also give out a 6,000K color temperature which will give off a bright white appearance instead of the yellowish halogen hue that you may be used to. These will also be completely plug-and-play, so you don't have to worry about any wiring when it comes to the install, and will come with all the adapters and the bracket for the JL when mounting these up, making it pretty straightforward. As far as the price is concerned, again, these will be pretty affordable at roughly $275 for the entire kit here. Now, what I like about this choice in comparison to some others is the simplicity in the design while also being incredibly functional. Now, other choices may have different styles, including a halo, a chrome look, or even an HID instead of an LED. Now, choosing a headlight that fits your style does come down to your personal preference, but if you're in search of a stealthy headlight that's simple and to the point and will drastically increase your JL's front-end light output, then this is going to be a great choice. Now, again, install is going to be relatively easy, so I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour or so to get the job done with some basic hand tools. And one of our guys in the shop is gonna show you how to get that process done step by step. So, that wraps it up for my review. Let's go ahead and get into the installMan: Tools required for this install include a ratchet, a clip remover tool, a Phillips head screwdriver, and a 10-millimeter socket. What's up, guys? Today, we're gonna be installing a set of headlights on our Wrangler, so let's get started. So, first, we have to remove our grille. So, we have six push clips on the top holding that in, so we can pop those out with a clip remover tool. And then we can pull back on our grille, we have a couple of tabs on the bottom holding it in, and it should be released. So, now with our grille removed, we have access to our headlight bolts. So, we have three 10-millimeter bolts holding this in. We can get a 10-millimeter socket and get these out. Now, we can disconnect our electrical harness. So, now we can do that same thing on this side, remove our three 10-millimeter bolts, and then disconnect our wiring harness. Now, we can install our headlight brackets. We can slide that into place and then reinsert our three factory 10-millimeter screws. And now we can remove our three Phillips head screws. So we have two separate harnesses. This one's gonna come with the headlights, this one's gonna come with the bracket kit. So, you can match up whichever you have to our connector for the headlight, which in our case is gonna be the harness that came with the bracket. So, we're not gonna use the one that came with the headlights. So, we can plug that in, and then we can plug in our anti-flicker harness, and the other end of that will go into our headlight. And then, we can get the other side of our headlight bracket and our three Phillips head screws and install our headlight. So we have these little cutouts in our bracket that's gonna correspond to these tabs on our headlight, so we can slide it in, get it lined up in place, and then reinstall our cover and our three Phillips head screws. And now with that done, we can repeat our same process on the other side. So, our last step's gonna be to reinstall our grille, so we can slide our clips into their provisions, and get our push clips in through the top.Meredith: So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and the install of the Axial seven-inch LED Daymaker headlights with the DV8 adapters and the black housing and a clear lens, fitting all 2018 and newer JL Wranglers.
