Merideth: If you're looking for some small affordable style upgrades for your 2018 or newer JL Wrangler, these clear Axial LED Fender Flare Marker Lights will be a great pick. Now, this will be a great addition to your build if you're looking to create more of a seamless appearance when it comes to the lighting on your Wrangler, even down to the smaller ones. Not to mention, this will also be significantly brighter than your stock light. So, if you wanna turn some heads and keep your JL more noticeable while driving, this is the kit to do it.These will replace the boring factory corner lights on the side of your turn signals with an incredibly bright and stylish light, again, making you more noticeable while driving. And it's gonna clean up the look of the front end. Now, the light will also feature a clear lens for a clean appearance when off. But when turned on, these will glow amber, thanks to the 2 SMD amber LED light strips on the inside. The housings will be durable and able to take lighter hits on the trail while boasting an IP 67 dust and waterproof rating, to keep the LEDs inside safe. And they'll also include a plug-and-play install, which makes putting these on your Wrangler effortless. So, again, if you're looking for that easy and that affordable upgrade, then this is a great kit.Now getting into the price, these are gonna come in at roughly $75 for the kit. Now, what I think stands out most about these is the clear lens and the strip lighting on the inside. Now, most other options available in the category will usually go for that smoked appearance vibe or will change up the lighting slightly, as to where this is going to take a non-traditional approach when it comes to both. Now, I think if you're looking to make your Jeep stand out while saving a couple bucks in the meantime, then this is a great option to take a look at. Being that these are plug-and-play, the install is gonna be very straightforward at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about a half hour to get the job done with some basic hand tools. Now, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install and what that looks like step by step. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: Hey, guys. I'm gonna show you how to install our side marker lights here on our 2018 Wrangler. So, let's get started. So, now that we're here, we're gonna remove our turn signal from our fender. First thing we're gonna do is you're gonna wanna remove your liner. Now, in our vehicle, we don't have a liner in this vehicle, but we do have videos on our website that show how to remove the liner. Once you get to that point where we're at now, the liner will be gone. We got a couple 10 millimeters, one here, one there, two upfront here. We're gonna remove those first so we can move the fender away from the body. That'll give us access to start removing our turn signal from the fender. So, now we're gonna start in the back here, we're gonna remove this 10-millimeter bolt. I'm gonna take my 10-millimeter and my 3/8 electric ratchet, get up inside here, remove that one. So, now we're gonna remove this one right here. Again, we're gonna use my 10-millimeter on my 3/8 ratchet. So, now there's a bracket here, and it's welded onto the side here. And that is where the plastic piece here we have to remove is underneath. So, there's a 10-millimeter here and then up top on the same bracket, there's another 10-millimeter that holds the plastic piece in also. So, I'm gonna remove these two. I'm gonna take my ratchet with my 10-millimeter, get up in here. Same with this one.And now that we have those removed, that'll give us access to just pull our fender out of the way here. That'll give us access to remove our plastic here that's housing our turn signal. So, now we have two 7-millimeters right here, I think there was a third one right here, too, but it's actually missing. So, I'm gonna take my 7-millimeter on my 3/8 ratchet, and I'm gonna remove these two right here. And once I have those out of the way, you should be able to drop down this plastic piece, which will give us access to the screws and the Torx bits in here to remove to pull our turn signal out. And next what we're gonna do is we're gonna remove this bracket here. First one we're gonna do, pop out our push clip. We're gonna take my push clip tool, get behind this thing, pop this out.Now we'll take a T30 Torx, get inside, and remove the three that are in here. There's another one up here, and one more up in this corner. And that'll allow us just to remove this bracket that holds the bumper in place. So, now we have five more T25 Torxs. We have one, two, three right over here in this corner, you probably can't see it, four, five, and one up here. So, we'll start down here. I'll take my T25 Torx with my 3/8 gun, and remove these. There's one way up in the corner up here. That one way up in the corner, you probably can't see it. And then we have one over here, right here. So, now you're just gonna wiggle this loose here, like that. And then behind here, there is a couple connectors that we're going to disconnect. So, now we're gonna be reusing this piece. So, this piece is gonna stay connected. We just wanna reach over here to where our light is. Turn this, pull it out. And as you can see in there, there's a little clip you're going to pull, pop that connector out and remove your light. And now you're gonna wanna repeat this whole same uninstall procedure on the opposite side. So, now we have our light all disassembled, I just have it resting in here. I put it back in actually. So what we're gonna do is we removed our other marker light on the side here, our stock one. We have our new clear one. And we're just going to fish this wire through. And I'm gonna take this and put it in place. Make sure you push our turn signal light back in, like that. And once we get that in place, I'm gonna come over here, grab one of our T30 Torx bolts right here. So, now I'm gonna take my T30 Torx here on my electric ratchet, you might not be able to see this, but I'm gonna get up in here and tighten this bolt up, pull our marker light in place, just like that. And now that we have that in place, we're gonna take our little harness here, connect that, like that. And now we will get our T20 Torx to tighten up these four screws right here that we took out earlier. We'll get these back in place and get our turn signal the light back in and start putting our whole fender in our structure here together. So, now we got our four screws, one, two, three, four. I'm gonna take my T20 Torx and get in here and tighten these up. Same with this one over here. And the top ones, you might not be able to see them, they are up there. And this one over here. And now that we have those in place, now we'll take our inner structure bracket, put that back in place, get this back up, and then finish with this one.So, now we're gonna take this bracket and put it up in place here, and move it out of the way. So, now we have our support bracket here, up in place, as you can see. And I have it sitting. Now you're going to have three T30 Torx, one here, one there, one there. Unfortunately, on ours here, we're missing a bolt. We're missing a lot of bolts actually on Jeep, from taking it apart so many times. So I'm gonna put back in the two here, and then I'll show you where the other one goes. So, I got these two in here and up top here in this corner, right here where my finger is, there's gonna be another one. Yours probably has it. So, what I'm gonna do now is take my T30 Torx on my 3/8 gun here, tighten these up. Same on this one here. And now that we have those tight, what we're gonna do is I'm gonna pull this out, pull up our flap here, stick this back in place. That way we'll line up the holes here to put our other bolts in. And again, I'm going to take our two smaller bolts here, get these started. One here and one back here. And I believe that there is another one that goes in here. Our plastic here is broke. Again, like I said, our Jeep's missing some stuff. So, I got these two started, and now we'll tighten them up, put our plastic clip in, and then put our 10 millimeters back in.So, now I'm gonna take my 7-millimeter, get up in here, tighten these two up. And you gotta remember it is plastic so you don't wanna go crazy tight where you'll strip everything out. Break stuff, obviously, like this piece here on our Jeep. So, next what I'm going to do, switch over to a 10-millimeter and then we'll put our 10 millimeters in here. So we'll take our push clip here, push this one into place just like that. So, now we're gonna install our 10-millimeter bolts. We have one here, gonna get started. We have one up here in the next bracket. We have one here in our support bracket. And then the support bracket in the back here, we have another one. Gonna get that one started. Now what I'm gonna do, take my 10-millimeter on my ratchet, tighten these up. Same with this one, and this one, and the one in the back. Now what you're gonna wanna do is repeat the same whole install procedure on the opposite side. That wraps up this review and install of our Axial Fender Flare Marker Lights clear for '18 to '22 Jeep Wrangler JLs. Thanks for watching. And for all things Wrangler, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
