      The ARB Dana 30 Differential Cover in red is for those of you that have a 1987 YJ all the way up through a 2018 JK, that are looking for a differential cover for that front Dana 30 axle that's going to be very strong and have some features that your factory differential cover doesn't have and a lot of the other differential covers in the aftermarket are also not going to have. This is going to be a pretty easy two out of three wrenches for the installation. Of course, you are going to have to seal this up properly. You're gonna have to change out the oil when you pull your factory cover off, so a couple of steps involved and we'll talk a little bit more about that in just a second. So the differential cover is really there in order to hold in the fluid and give you an inspection port into the differential should you need to get in there and take a look at things. However, if you are doing some off-roading, the differential cover can become a weak point. It can be something that can get peeled off and end up dumping all of your oil onto the ground in the trail, which is really bad for a lot of different reasons. So adding something like this which is going to be much stronger, is going to be a nice option for you if you are doing some off-roading. This also is gonna have some features that I mentioned before that are going to come in really handy. One of those is the fact that this has a dipstick in it where a lot of the other differential covers on the market do not, so you check the oil level as you would in the old days, you stick your finger in there, but this dipstick is going to be a little bit more accurate. It does have a very high fill hole, so you can put a lot of differential fluid in this cover. Obviously, the height of that fill hole is really going to be the main factor with how high you can fill it up. So this is nice and high, which is really nice. And then you have the drain which is very, very low to allow you to get the maximum amount of oil out of your differential if you are trying to drain it and refill it without pulling the cover off. One of the other big benefits to this, it has not one but two magnets and these are a neodymium magnets or Rare-earth magnets which are very, very strong and they're designed to pull any metal particles out of the fluid and hold them tight so they can't get redistributed and brought back through the teeth of the gears. So that is going to be something that's not completely unique to ARB, but the fact that there are two of them because of the dipstick and the fact that they are such strong magnets is going to be a really nice thing for you. The fact that this is red, that's completely something that is up to you. If you like the aesthetic of this, you can certainly get these in other colors as well or color change this if you want to. But if you are going for that red theme on your Jeep, this is going to match that very well. And for your front differential cover, you want something that is going to be pretty slender and pretty slim because on some of the Jeeps, the way that the steering components, the track bar, the drag link, any of that stuff moves up and down, you don't want anything making contact with that front differential cover and this one is going to be nice and low profile for you so it's going to accomplish that. And we said before, two out of three wrenches for this install, but it is an easy two out of three wrenches. All you're going to have to do is zip all of those bolts on that hold your factory differential cover in place. Pop the cover, of course, catching all of the oil as it comes out. You'll clean the surface of the differential itself. Use some RTV or some other sort of gasket maker material on the housing and on your new cover. Let it set up just a little bit. Mash those two together, tighten down all of the bolts that come with your new cover, and wait until everything sets up before refilling it to the proper level, checking it on the dipstick there. Now, this is going to be more expensive than some of the other differential covers out there because it does have other features that I mentioned and it is just really well made and very high quality. This is gonna come in at right around that $190 mark. If you're not interested in the dipstick, if you're not interested in the red coloring, you can probably find some other options out there that are still going to be very strong and very low profile that are gonna be less expensive than this. But if you are looking for one of those more premium products and you are okay paying a premium price for it, this is going to be an excellent choice for you.
