Description
AEV’s 4.5″ High‑Capacity Coil Springs are a direct‑fit upgrade for Jeep Wrangler JK models (4‑door) equipped with an AEV 4.5″ DualSport SC or RS suspension system. Designed for overlanders and heavily loaded vehicles, these frequency‑tuned, progressive‑rate coil springs offer increased payload capability while retaining exceptional ride quality, handling, and off‑road articulation
Key features include:
The springs are sold only as a full matching set of front and rear to preserve safe handling dynamics. The front springs feature a stiffer rate than the rear ones to maintain proper load balance across rear‑biased weight configurations .
Not intended for unloaded vehicles: Using them on an unloaded JK Wrangler results in a significantly stiffer ride and uneven ride height—with the front end sitting about ¾″ higher, and the rear about 1″ taller than the front compared to standard 4.5″ springs
When exceeding GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) or RGAWR (Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating), expect changes in braking, steering, and overall handling performance
Compatible only with 4‑door JK Wrangler—not suitable for 2‑door models
