Ryan: This WeatherTech AVM Trim-to-Fit Cargo Liner is for those of you that have a 1987 all the way up through the most current model year Wrangler that are looking for a way to add some protection and a little bit of non-slip grip to the cargo area of your Jeep. Adding a mat like this is going to protect the factory carpeting, and like I said, when you put something on here, it's going to be less apt to slide side to side as you're going around the corners, because this is going to be a little bit grippy. Now, compared to what you're used to seeing from WeatherTech, laser-measured vehicle-specific mats, this is gonna be a little different. This, as it says in the title, is trim-to-fit, so this is a universal fit cargo liner. You go ahead and cut it however you need it to make sure that it fits perfectly in the cargo space of your Jeep. And what that means is that it's going to be less expensive. This is going to be a one out of three wrenches for the installation. You're just going to have to, as I said, cut it to fit, throw it in place, and use it. Not much to it, as with most mats, but even so, we're gonna show you how to do it in just a second here. So, again, from WeatherTech, you're used to seeing something that's a little bit of a harder plastic, it usually has some sides on it, it's all laser-measured, and it fits specifically to your vehicle usually, at least in the front seats, has some method of retention, so it's not going to slide around and get underneath the pedals for the driver. This is going to be a little bit different. This is going to be more rubber material, a little bit of a softer rubber material. Of course, there are no sides on this because you're going to go ahead and cut it. However, they do put a little bit of a lip here in this inside area that you would not be cutting off, so if there's a little bit of moisture, something spills, you have some snow-covered boots that you throw in here and it starts to melt, it is going to help to trap some of that moisture and keep it on the mat.As with most other mats, they're very easy to pull out of the Jeep. Go ahead and hose it off, pressure wash it, however you wanna clean it, and throw it right back in again, which is much easier to do than trying to remove the carpeting of your Jeep and clean that and put it in. So, just another benefit to adding some sort of cargo liner. As I said before, because this isn't hard plastic, because this isn't laser-measured and laser-cut specifically for your vehicle, because this is universal fit, this is gonna be a little bit less expensive than some of the other WeatherTech stuff, and this comes in at right around that $50 mark. So, I do think it's going to be a very fair price. If you are looking for something that's very specific to your vehicle, we have those as well. If you wanna save a little bit of money and you're okay trimming up your own cargo mat to make it fit, this is going to be a great choice. So, like I said, nice, easy install. Let's show you how to do it.Man: Tools used for this install are a pair of scissors. All right. So, the first thing I'm gonna do is place our floor liner in the back of the Jeep here just to get an idea on how much we're gonna have to trim off. Try and get it centered up as best as possible. All right, so we got our cargo liner in the Jeep here. I have it pretty much centered. I'm just gonna take a mental note here of where it lays, and I'm gonna start trimming this with a regular old pair of scissors. I'm gonna start off by making a cut with my scissors right down this line right here and we're gonna see how that fits. I don't wanna take too much off first. All right, so there's our first cut. I'm going to make this turn right here. All right, I'm gonna keep on trimming off here until it fits right. And like I said before, I don't wanna take too much off because you can't put it back on. All right, we're gonna do the same thing on the left side now. We trimmed the right side and got a pretty good fit, so I know where I need to trim the left side now. I'm gonna start on the bottom. All right, guys, that's gonna wrap up our review and install. Be sure to check out more at extremeterrain.com.
