Description
Full Floating Axle Conversion. Get rid of the problems associated with semi-floating axles with the TeraFlex Rear CRD60 8-Lug Full Float Conversion Kit with 3.25-inch Tubes. The semi-floating axles that come with your Wrangler JK are host to a number of potential problems including breakage. The TeraFlex Rear CRD60 8-Lug Full Float Conversion Kit converts your axle from semi-floating into full floating, allowing you to take on the toughest off-road trails without having to worry about axle damage.
Super-Strong Chromoly Construction. The TeraFlex Rear CRD60 8-Lug Full Float Conversion Kit features rugged 4140 chromoly-steel spindles, and case-hardened 4340 chromoly-steel axle shafts. The 4140 chromoly spindles work in tandem with a two wheel bearing design to distribute vehicle weight more evenly, minimizing stresses. The minimized load stresses enable the 4340 chromoly-steel shaft to transfer torque more efficiently.
Bigger 8-Lug Wheels. The TeraFlex Rear CRD60 8-Lug Full Float Conversion Kit features an 8-lug design that uses 8-bolt pattern wheels. Your new larger wheels provide better ground clearance and control when going off-road.
Larger, More Powerful Brakes. Included with the TeraFlex Rear CRD60 8-Lug Full Float Conversion Kit is the TeraFlex Slotted Big Rotor Brake Kit. These larger brakes improve stopping power, but conveniently utilize the OE park brakes, brake calipers, and brake calipers. Additionally, the factory sensors are also retained.
Some Modifications Required. The TeraFlex Rear CRD60 8-Lug Full Float Conversion Kit requires some modifications to your Jeep for proper installation. Installation is straightforward but needs advanced mechanical skills, and is not recommended for beginners. As such professional installation is recommended. Note: Please determine if your axle tube’s outer diameter is 3-inch or 3.25-inch wide, and if its wall thickness is 0.5-inch or 0.375-inch thick prior to ordering.
