Specs. Increasing the ride height of your Jeep Wrangler gives you more space for large aftermarket wheels, which develop more torque and handle obstacles better. However, raising the ride also causes drive shaft vibration if you don't take steps to prevent it. This Teraflex 1-inch T-case lowering kit drops the transfer case (T-case) by an inch, greatly reducing vibration from lifts of 2 inches or more.

Construction. Teraflex's 1 inch T-case lowering kit is made out of high quality steel and has a limited lifetime warranty against defects in manufacturing or workmanship defects. Installation is easy and requires approximately one hour of work. It fits all Wrangler models including Rubicon and Unlimited.

Application. Works with 1997-2002 TJ Wranglers.

After installing the Teraflex did anyone notice any issues with shifting? I installed the rough country TC Lowering kit and my TJ pops out of second gear. I also find it difficult to get into 4th and reverse. Will be returning the RC kit and purchasing a different kit.

        • If you have the 2 inch suspension lift kit installed on your TJ, this should not be happening. We would suggest contacting a shop to have them take a look at the installation of this, as this is not a problem that should be occurring.

I'm purchasing the Teraflex 3" lift, and I notice it doesn't come with this.. and my TJ is an 03 which confuses me even more considering this isnt compatible. with the teraflex 3" lift is this not needed? I know a SYE is reccomended but I cant afford that at the moment.

        • The Teraflex 1 in. Transfer Case Lowering Kit is not compatible with with 2003-2006 Wranglers due to some changes that Jeep made for the 2003 model year, and the design of this kit. We highly recommend a SYE or transfer case drop with this lift to prevent issues with the driveshaft with the 3 inch lift. The Rugged Ridge Transfer Case Lowering Kit item number J21471 will work with your 2003.

            Excellent product, simple install

Removed the drive line vibrations after installing a 2 inch lift. This is a great product and well made. Install time was about 30 minutes.

            Fixed vibration

Fixed the vibration after a lift until I can get SYE and new drive shafts. Hardware seems good and was an easy and quick install. Just be careful of your transfer case skid plate bolts as many people have issues with these luckily I did not.

            Very satisfied

Added a two inch BDS lift to my 97 tj and had tons of vibration after. I'm too cheap to spend money on a real fix, so I opted for the cheapest way out and used the teraflex 1 inch t-case drop. 15 min. to install and worked very well. Zero vibration. Was a great purchase for the type of wheeling I do.

            Perfect fix

This kit is nicely machined and the parts are stout. I had the frame repaired which resulted in a slight vibration. I had this kit installed at my local shop. It took them one hour. They told me it's a nice kit and installed with no issues. Vibration gone and I would highly recommend.

            Eliminated my vibrations.

The kit is nice and simple to install. It did it’s job and gave my rear driveshaft a better angle and eliminated my rear driveline vibrations. However only complain is the drop Brackets come in a raw metal that seems like it could rust easily. Therefore I had to paint the kit black.

            Effective Quality

Excellent quality, great price, easy installation. Effectively got rid of the driveline vibrations that showed up after a 2.5" lift.

            Great product

Installed in about 1 1/2 hrs. It does lower the drive line angle. Just what I needed for my 2 “ lift.

            Great Tcase kit!

This is a great Tcase lowering kit. I did a 2" suspension lift and a 1" body lift on my '02 TJ and ended up with a pretty bad vibration in the driveshaft. I installed this kit and the vibration was gone. I tried a Rubicon kit prior to installing this kit. The Rubicon kit did not have the tapered washers so the flat washers started to bend into the tapers on the skid plate. This prevented my from being able to torque the bolts correctly without destroying the washers. I ordered this kit and the tapered washers worked great. Much better quality. Highly recommended.

After a 4" lift on my TJ i had some vibrations that I just couldn't seem to get rid of. A shop recommended that I try this before I invested in more costly options and it did the trick. Easy and great quality
