Simple installation for anyone.
I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.com, and this is my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's. These are available in your choice of four different colors, either the black you see here, charcoal, tan, or red. And they're available for all body styles and year ranges so make sure you get the ones that fit your Jeep.I like seat covers like these for a couple of different reasons. These are really good for those of you who might have an older Jeep that has a worn out seat that you want to cover up and make look new again without the cost of completely replacing the cover that's currently on the seat. These are also good for those of you who are looking to protect your seats that might be in your newer JK because seats do take a good bit of wear and tear. And finally, these are a really nice inexpensive way to completely customize the look of your interior. So if you're looking for a high-quality seat cover to do any of those three things that's really fairly priced, I think these are a nice option. These neoprene seat covers are really well built and they're designed to install really easily in the Jeep and they'll also uninstall really easily so you can throw them in the washing machine if they do end up getting dirty. Now one of the most important things about a seat cover in my mind aside from durability and how well they're going to hold up over time is how they fit. You don't want a seat cover that's going to be baggy and wrinkled and it just looks sloppy and unfinished. These are going to fit really tight, they're not going to have any wrinkles in them, and they almost look like they're factory once you get them installed on the Jeep. Now even though these are neoprene and there's some bad information out there about neoprene, these are not going to be waterproof. They are water resistant and they hold up well to wear and tear, but they're not going to be completely waterproof. Another thing about this material and really any material that any seat cover is going to be made of is that it's not going to completely resist fading. So Smittybilt and I both recommend that you treat this with a UV protectant to keep it from fading. Some colors are going to be more resistant to fading than others but the black and the red are definitely going to fade unless you take care of them.Like I said before these are designed to install really easily in the jeep even though they're a tight fit. The first step in the process is to install the seat backs, then the seat bottoms, and finally the head rest covers. These will install with a couple of different straps, some hook and loop fasteners and some buckles, all to keep them really tight. When you first take these out of the box they might have a couple of wrinkles in them from the packaging but don't worry. Those will work themselves out after you use the seat covers a couple of times. And like I said you'll definitely want to treat these with the UV protectant before you even get them installed in the jeep. The whole installation process shouldn't take you more than an hour and you won't need any tools at all.As with most products, there are certainly seat covers that are more expensive than these and ones that are less expensive. But with something like a seat cover that does take a lot of abuse, especially that drivers seat every time you get in and out of the Jeep, you're putting wear and tear on your seat cover, you're going to want to spend a little bit of money. Those bargain basement brands, they're not going to hold up well. They're going to wear out, they're not going to look good right after you install them and certainly not after your abuse. In my opinion, these are really fairly priced for the quality of the product and for how well they're going to hold up, especially if you take care of them.So if you're looking to protect your new interior, cover up an old worn out one, or just completely change the look of your jeep, this is a really nice option for a seat cover that's going to hold up well over time and isn't going to completely break the bank. So that's my review of the Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Covers fitting all 2007 to 2016 JK's that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com

Great item front seat hard to install
These are great! I installed them on my 2016 JKU. The rear seats were easy to install. I had difficulty installing the front covers due to the velcro on the covers kept getting stuck on my cloth seats while I tried to feed it thru the metal rod between the back and bottom of the seats. I ended up using the plastic wrap it came in to help feed it without having the velcro getting stuck on the cloth.Helpful (1)

Does not work with rear bench seat. The app told me it would work. Got several pieces that are of no use. I am new to Jeep so I trusted it knew what it was talking about.Helpful (1)

Good for the Money
Back covers were super simple to install and took less than 15 minutes with help. The front covers were not so easy. The bottom fits and attaches fine, but if you have cloth seats, the back cover has Velcro that gets stuck in the heavy felt between the cushions of the seat. My fix was to wrap the Velcro in packing tape. After that, the seat back cover installed fairly easily. There isn’t a ton of room to fit the cover through so some patience is required. Overall, they seem to fit nice and look good. I’ll be interested to see how they hold up since I run without doors a lot.Helpful (1)

Great bang for the buck
These cushions not only make the Jeep look cleaner and better but also make it more comfortable on long trips. The neoprene material acts as almost a second cushion on the seat. They are easy to install but make sure to not over tighten the straps or else they WILL break. Other than that, great productHelpful (3)

Look good and very comfortable
I rated these seat covers a 4 because the front covers are really hard to install. They have a Velcro flaps that are supposed to join together in the back. Yea well that’s close to impossible to do because there is literally no room to push it through and when you do get a piece through the rest of the Velcro gets stuck to the carpet like material that’s in between. Other then that they look and feel great. They change the entire interior of my Jeep which I love.Helpful (3)

Is the rear cover a split seat cover or one piece? For a 2016 JKU.
It is a split seat cover.
hello, just to clarify one of the questions asked already. Do the 4 door unlimited covers have a 60-40 rear split seat cover? You replied it is split. does that mean "seat back piece" and " seat bottom piece" or the 60-40 spit. One of the earlier reviewers (Review titled "Disappointed" said his came with a one piece rear seat cover?
The Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Cover Set comes with a split rear cover for the OEM 60/40 rear seat.
Will these seat covers fit a 2019 JL 2 door wrangler?
These will not fit JL models.
Does the rear seat cover fit properly on the rear seat of a 2 door JK?
The Smittybilt Neoprene Front & Rear Seat Covers will work with both four-door and two-door models. Just select which model you have when picking the item and it will fit correctly with your seats.
It says it is for 07-17, however, there is no option to choose 2017 when ordering. Should I click 2016 when ordering? Also, I know neoprene is water resistant, not waterproof, when they dry will they smell?
The option for the 2013-2016 Smittybilt Neoprene Seat Cover Set Front/Rear are the correct fitment for the 2017, and it just needs to be updated at this time; We apologize for the confusion. As long as they dry in a properly ventilated environment, they will dry smell-free.
A cut-out version is not available
These are machine washable, however we would not suggest putting them in the dryer for risk of shrinkage, or them getting ripped.
These can be tight at first, but that is intentional to ensure the best fitment possible once installed. They should not have an issue fitting cloth seats.
Both the Rubicon and the Wrangler selections will fit as they are the same seat.
The rear seat cover will definitely offer the cover over the headrest, however it is just one seat cover in the rear as opposed to two separate 60/40 seat covers.
Yes, you are able to use these seat covers even if you have heated seats.
The Smittybilt Neoprene Front & Rear Seat Covers can be cleaned like any neoprene seat cover. A UV protectant is not required or recommended.
Unfortunately these specific style seat covers are not available in black and blue. We do however have these: https://www.extremeterrain.com/seat-armour-towel-blue-t2gblue.html
