Titanium-Look Entry/Exit Support. Bold yet dignified, the titanium gray powder-coat paint on the steel Rugged Ridge 3-inch Round Titanium Side Steps provides an unusual look to your 1997-2006 Wrangler at the same time as it kits the vehicle out with some highly functional step bars. With their secure bolting onto the frame, rather than sheet metal panels, and their thick plate steel brackets, these steps are trusty in every situation. The nylon pads have a non-slip surface with the Rugged Ridge logo plus a small but effective area of blocky tread. These components add both new appearance details and a useful entry and exit aid to your Jeep, plus light to medium protection.
Medium-Duty Build. Balancing the design between weight (36 lbs for the pair) and ruggedness, Rugged Ridge makes the 3-inch Round Titanium Side Steps out of 0.109” wall thickness, 3” diameter steel tubing. The mounting brackets are 3/16” plate steel. UV-treatment is used on the nylon step pads so that ultraviolet light won’t degrade them, and each is secured by 5 pins. Rust is kept at bay with a titanium gray powder-coat finish.
Need to Drill New Mount Holes. Supplied with self-tapping bolts and other hardware, the Rugged Ridge 3-inch Round Titanium Side Steps need drilling in order to create the necessary bolt holes in your Wrangler’s frame. Once these are made, the bolts should be hand-tightened and torqued to 35-45 ft/lbs.
Covered by a 5-Year Warranty. The Rugged Ridge 3-inch Round Titanium Side Steps come with a 5-year warranty against defects (limited) from the maker.
Application. Any 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Models, Excluding Unlimited can be outfitted with a set of Rugged Ridge 3-inch Round Titanium Side Steps.
