Love These Seat Covers by Rugged Ridge!
I needed seat covers because I drive a 2 door Jeep that my 4-year-old climbs over the front seats and center console in order to get into his car seat in the back. Once fitted, they look absolutely stellar (I ordered the black). They were also relatively easy to install.
The most difficult part of the installation was the 3 mini bungee chord cables that tie down the front and sides of the seat cover over the cushion you actually sit on. They clip underneath anywhere you can find a place for them but, because the whole seat slides forwards and backward (like all cars do), you have to clip them to the undercarriage of the seat rather than the framework that is affixed to the floor the jeep. Finding a way to clip them so that the flaps lay flat is difficult and mine bunch up a little bit because of this. My driver seat also has a lever that raises the seat up and down in addition to the smaller lever that tilts the seat back and forward. This larger lever is in the way of the flap that wraps under it to my left and it bunches there as well a little bit. Not a big deal and the part I sit on still lays flat. This is the reason I gave the seat a "good" rating on "fit" and excellent on everything else.
The part of the seat covers that wraps the back of the seat (it is one entire piece by the way (seat and back)) was very easy to slide on and tighten using the thick Velcro straps. It also remains taught when you tilt the seat back or forward.
After that, attaching the bags/pouches was fun and didn't take very long. Once the seat cover is completely on, I recommend tilting the seat all the way forward, sitting in the back seat, and arranging the bags into a configuration that works well keeping in mind spacing the bags so they are not too close to each other and also the way they interact with the back seat passenger. If you have a 2 door jeep and often have adult passengers in the back seats, I would recommend holding off on the bigger pouches since they will probably crowd the passenger unless you are very short and have your seat moved all the way forward. One nice thing is that you still have plenty of options on where to mount the pouches both on the back of the seat cover and along the sides and even the front seat part (just beneath your legs) if you choose.
The pouches themselves mount by weaving the straps in and out of the straps on the seat cover and once you figure out the first one, attaching the rest is easy.
When complete the seat covers are tough, don't detract from the comfort of the seat and look incredible. The bags are great for storing anything and everything. They are very durable as well which is great because I worried in time they might wear down a bit or fray. Not likely. Needless to say I am very pleased with this product and will review the overhead and rear door storage options that I also ordered sometime soon once I install them. And no, I don't work for Rugged Ridge :), but I am very please with this product's quality, durability and overall look.
