I would like to go ALL stainless steel, so I am wondering why there are what appear to be regular steel screws in this kit. Is this all stainless steel or are only the bolts stainless steel?

      Room for improvement

The factory hardware that holds on the fender flares consists of steel threaded inserts, steel body screws with attached washers, self-tapping screws with attached washers, and plastic anchors to which the self-tapping scews attach. Other than the plastic anchors, this kit appears to have been assembled from a hardware store catalog. The threaded inserts physically resemble the factory ones, but are made of aluminum, not steel. The bolts are the correct size and thread, but are bright plated, not black. The self-tapping screws are the correct size and configuration, but neither they nor the bolts have the washers attached, and the washers that are included are much, much smaller that the factory washers, as well as having a bright finish. Considering that they are intended to attach a relatively soft plastic fender to the car, the included washers seem much more likely to pull through the fender. I ended up cleaning and re-using the factory fasteners as much as possible. Also, there are no instructions. You will need to buy a rivet nut tool to install the rivet nuts. While there are YouTube videos out there on making a simple rivet nut tool out of bolts and washers, finding bolts this small that are strong enough to use for that purpose won't be easy. Bottom line, the kit is helpful in gathering some on the needed hardware together, but it does not look original and with the aluminum rivet nuts and small washers, I do not think it is as strong as the original.

      2004 jeep wrangler

Im overall satisfied with this hardware package i purchased from Xterrain. Made of good quality, and seems to be an exact match as the original hardware. My ONLY issue is that the washers that goes onto the screws could be just a little bigger. However, everything still fits pretty snug. It took me an afternoon for the full installation becasue literally every old screw i took out to replace was rusted and seized up so that hindered my ability to remove and replace in a quick fashion.

      Good fit

Good fit, but if you want it to look identical to the other side, go OEM...but for the money..it looks good.

      Good replacement kit.

I like the Omix-ADA fender flare install kit but have to say that the washers are way to small. I ended up drilling out some 1/8 inch fender washers and now it looks and feels perfect.

      They work!

Hardware kit did exactly what it was meant to do. Made the new flares go on without a hitch. Could use some instructions for removing old hardware....if you haven't pulled flares on your jeep before it takes some thinking and work to get the old ones off.

Nice collection of small parts to have around.

This is a nice collection of small parts to have around. The plastic fender nuts were a perfect replacement. I did have some difficulty getting the aluminum rivet nuts to expand in a blind hole even though they have the hex section behind the head.

      Disappointed

I bought this kit to replace my old rusted out screws and bolts. Here are some propblems I have with this product: 1. The washers it comes with a much smaller than factory and can't securely hold the fender to the body. (I bought bigger ones to fix this but I shouldn't have to do this) 2. The screws that come with this are tapered at the head which make it very hard for a wrench to get grip on it in a tight space. 3. Lastly, The kit did not come with enough bolts. There are 12 places where bolts are needed and I only got 9. All in all it gets the job done but It would have been easier to use the old rusty hardware than this but than again it was only $20

      Well worth the order

If you're replacing your this is the way to go verses trying to reuse the old parts. These made my install much easier and cleaner as well as knowing they would hold well.

The product is very good. The stainless bolts and nuts are a big plus.

Kit comes with everything you need and is the same screws and bolts as the factory. Great product and I am very happy with my purchase.
