        Construction. This aluminum locking gas cap by Rugged Ridge is finished with a black coating to resist blemishes from gasoline and other chemicals.

        Specs. This cap cover is 6 inches by 6 inches by 2 inches, and adds a subtle touch of style to your TJ.

        Accessories & More. In addition to the installation hardware, this cover comes with two keys.

        Application. This cover attaches to the existing plastic insert with self tapping screws. Removal of the tail light or internal gas cover not required. Installs on 1997 - 2006 TJ Wranglers in minutes.

          Locking gas cap cover

          No problems yet, easy installation. Sure beats buying a new locking gas cap when the cap gasket goes south! At this point, I think it's a well worth investment!

          Not the best purchase

          Worked well for a few weeks, then the key wouldn't open it. Had to unscrew it from the jeep to find that the locking mechanism was stuck. Have not had time to tinker with it, maybe it's an easy fix... but that's not the point. Not satisfied. Extra star based purely on the fit and looks.

          Excellent Product!

          Very happy with the locking gas hatch. Fits over the pre-existing gas frame and the screws fit into the pre-existing holes. Took about five minutes to install.
