      Description

      Signal Performance Optimization. The Rugged Radios GMRS and UHF No Ground Plane (NGP) Tuned Whip Antenna improves your GMRS radio’s signal performance across all programmed channels. With a compact total length of 12.5 inches, it is suitable for applications requiring a low-profile antenna. Operating within the 406–470 MHz frequency range, this antenna supports GMRS and related UHF frequencies effectively.

      Construction and Appearance. This antenna features a molded high heat ABS mounting base for durability. Silver soldered connections and gold plated push pin contacts ensure reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. An integrated o-ring provides a secure, weather-resistant seal. The design balances functionality and ruggedness, suitable for various environments.

      Installation. The antenna is designed as a No Ground Plane (NGP) model but can also be mounted on metal ground plane surfaces if available, which may enhance signal performance. Compatible with a variety of mounting surfaces, installation requires no additional references to external technical sources.
