This budget boost kit includes 1.75 inch spacers as well as front and rear ORV shocks to ensure a stable, yet comfortable ride. Kit Contents. This kit comes equipped with Front and rear coil spring spacers, front and rear ORV shocks, extended rear sway bar links, rear brake line relocation brackets and a parking brake relocation bracket to assist in maintaining performance.

Already broken, and I do no off road...
The bushers came off, now the shocks are constantly banging which is annoying. Bought those in November 2018... I wonder what my options are beside getting a new set ... and thus having to spend more money... disappointing.Helpful (1)

What a Fiasco
-First off they sent me 3 front shocks and 1 rear. the boxes were labeled correctly but i noticed the part numbers did not match (plus the rear shocks are longer) I noticed this before hand so I figured I'd just leave one old shock on for the time being, no big deal. rear install went well did not have to drop the track bar to remove coils (on either end) parking break relocation bracket is a pain though. -Get to the front have everything dropped and shocks off, I realize that the front shocks are not correct, instead of having a threaded end at the top like the picture shows, its a double opened end like the rear. so I have 1 shock at this point with Jeep on jack stands. - was on the phone with Extreme terrain for 30 mins and jerked around, they wanted me to return the kit then they would send a new one... well ok i already painted the unfinished parts installed the rear spacers, relocation brackets, assembled the shocks...so no. they offer to contact the manufacturer to "SEE IF THEY CAN SEND ME THE CORRECT SHOCKS" in a few weeks. You know the correct shocks that I already paid for. Finally they agree to ship me out a new kit and i can return what i don't use. Which they ended up charging me for ..he didn't tell me that part. * the product (half of it) it did give me a noticeable lift, happy with that. you have to assembled the shocks yourself, have some PB Blaster and a rag handy, I used a rubber mallet and a larger deep well socket to tap the rubber in. I guess buy nice or buy twice , I thought i was buying a quality product from a quality distributor however. not sure if I'll be purchasing from Extreme Terrain again. Once they have your money You're on the back burnner.Helpful (4)

Would be a great little economic lift but.................Like others have said, the instructions could be better (minor issue). However the "biggest" issue I have is that the top shock bushings were "missing" for the rear shocks! I had to actually fabricate bushings myself, and when I called to let them know nothing was ever done. Well my fix is still holding up, but made the install a real hassle.Helpful (2)

Great for looks and ride

Worse than OEM. I regret this purcashe.
I bought this kit thinking it would be a good, cost effective upgrade to get my Sahara Unlimited sitting right and replace the old, tired stock shocks. I couldn't have been more wrong. The spacers do get the vehicle level, but the ride quality is absolutely TERRIBLE. You WILL feel every bump in the road, and the stiffness of the compression (or lack thereof) is very harsh. I honestly wish I had the old, oem shocks back because they were still better than these. Spend your money on something else and please DO NOT BUY THIS KIT.Helpful (6)

Shocks too stiff for 2dr.
My Jeep is a 2 dr. with no extra weight. The compression is way too stiff for such a light vehicle. My Jeep looses grip in the rain because the tires bounce over every bump. Maybe if you have a 4 dr. with extra bumpers and winches the shocks would be okay. I have 10,000 miles on this kit and the shocks haven't become softer. I like the kit but recommend ordering without the shocks and putting your own shocks on.Helpful (5)

My wife and I installed this on her 2013 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited in about 5 1/2 hours taking breaks and having lunch. Straight forward and easy installation for anyone who has mechanical skills and tools. Wanted to fit 33's. You can add to this kit later and I will probably add 2.5" coils when I get the jeep when she is done with it. You get a lot for the money with this kit. Everything you need is in the kit. Everything in the kit is metric except two bolts for the emergency brake relocation bracket and that part did not come with lock nuts. Not a complaint, just weird. I had some lock nuts so no big deal. Overall very happy with this purchase.Helpful (6)

Nice extra height
Lift did exactly what I wanted. Pretty easy swap out from factory shocks and added almost 2 inches. Only thing that sucked was trying to put in the top rubber piece into the shock, wish those were already assembled. Directions were a little off so don't go by those. I have a 2012 Rubicon 2/dr. BFG KO2 285/70R17s on 17” aftermarket rims with 4.5” backspacing. I have an ARB full front bumper with a Warn 8000 lb winch mounted. Will this kit level my Jeep and take out the front rake? Thank you! Chris

What is a good steering stabilizer to accompany this kit?
With this lift kit what size tires would be compatible if I were to keep my stock wheels which are: 7.5JJx17 ET44.5. Id like to replace my tires with this lift kit but not my wheels if possible.

I have a 2016 Sahara 4 door loaded with the factory 18" inch wheels, Dueler tires A/T P255/70R and hard top. I want to stay with the stock 18" wheels but may add a 1.5" wheel spacer to bring them to the edge of the fenders. I am just looking to give the jeep a better stance so it sets level and maybe a small lift. I reading some mix reviews about the ride of this lift kit. I know it may be a little differance than stock and I am find with that. To your knowledge will this lift kit make the jeep a very rough ride or just a little more than stock? Also will it change how it handles going down the road and around turns?
This kit will make your Jeep a little stiffer, but you have a 4 door so that should not be an issue. As for the handling, it will handle well with the new shocks.
Will this kit accommodate 33’ tires 17’ wheels with no rubbing?
Yes, the Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks will allow you to clear a 33" tire in diameter. For rubbing when turning we would suggest making sure your 17" wheels have the correct backspacing to prevent rubbing when turning with a 33" tire!
It is not required to replace track bars for this kit although it is recommended with many lift kits.
This kit will provide enough clearance for a 285/75R17. The brake line brackets are not required however highly recommended. Track bars are unnecessary for this size of a lift. XT7SlotJ4Y
The Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks will not require the need of wheel spacers in order for installation. This kit can be installed on your vehicle with the original size wheels and tires.
The spacers included with the Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks will feature a 5 year warranty directly from Rugged Ridge and they will be Polyurethane.
The Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift is designed around the stock springs, and it is not recommended to use aftermarket springs, as this would lift the Wrangler beyond the capacity of the included shocks and sway bar links, necessitating all but the spacers in this kit to be replaced with components that work with the higher lift amount.
The Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift would not be a good candidate for adding springs, as you would have two options. First you could change the springs and use the spacers still, which would require new shocks and end links for your new overall lift amount. The other option would be to delete the spacers and utilize springs only that are the same lift height as the existing lift amount to retain the existing shocks.
The Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift can take the added weight of a bumper and winch without failure, however you would experience loss of ride height up front since the springs will still be OEM, and the stock springs are very prone to sag.
The Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks will include rear brake line extension brackets only.
You will not need a Exhaust Spacer kit with the Rugged Ridge 1.75 in. Spacer Lift w/ Shocks. If you were going with a lift that is 2 inches or higher than you would need the exhaust spacer kit.
The OEM wheels will work with this lift kit, however, if you plan to use a larger tire than it came with from the factory a wheel spacer would be needed. Depending on the tire size, the spacer width would ultimately depend on that tire size.
