    Ask a Question

I have a 09 Jk, Do I need new springs along with this lift kit or will the factory springs be fine?

    BrianC

    • The Rough Country 2.5 in. Series II Lift Kit w/ Shocks reuses your factory springs and installs spring spacers to give you the additional lift. If you are concerned about ride quality, it would be better to get new springs instead of installing spacers.

I have a 2016 wrangler unlimited that I installed a teraflex 1.25 inch body lift, will this kit work with that ?

    Donni

    • The Rough Country 2.5 in. Series II Lift Kit will have no issues working with your body lift.

Can you swap the front and rear spacers in order to maintain some rake instead of leveling the Jeep?

    JohnQPS122

    • The front and rear spacers are specific in design, they are not meant to be swapped between the front and rear.

2017 JK Willy's 4-door Will you still need an exhaust spacer for this lift kit if you plan to replace with, say... Pypes black street pro dual outlet cat-back exhaust?

I have a Jeep Wrangler JK Sport 2018. In addition to the exhaust spacer kit, will I need to buy coil springs?

    JessaC

    • The Rough Country 2.5 in. Series II Lift Kit w/ Shocks would not require coil springs as this kit is a coil spacer lift.

Hi I just ordered this kit. If I wanted to buy new springs what should I go with? Is there a package deal that includes these? Also will this take the factory take out of the Jeep?

    BrandonL

    • The Rough Country 2.5 in. Series II Lift Kit w/ Shocks should eliminate factory rake. We unfortunately do not currently have any package deals which include springs. In order to ensure best possible fitment we would need a little more information about your specific Jeep Wrangler to recommend compatible springs. 2016 Jeep JK 75th Anniversary Rough Country Lift

The kit was fairly easy and straightforward to install. I installed the kit in one day in the driveway with no lift other then my floor jack and a couple of jack stands. One thing I would add to the directions for the rear is to take both of the brake line supports loose and remove the wheel sensor line from the frame. Other than that I had no problems and would recommend this to the do it yourself-er.

      Greeat Value Lift Kit

The lift kit is a great value for the price. The install went well. I had a hard time with one of the nuts holding a shock on and had to buy some spring compressors to get the springs off the front. I think I could have muscled the springs off but with it jacked up I didn't want to do that. The springs on the back come off easy once you disconnect the track bar. Definitely can do on jack stands if no access to lift.

Good for going beyond a leveling kit.

Great, complete kit that will get you that bigger lift than a leveler. Gives you all the important parts to get off the ground without having to buy extras. Good, comfortable ride on the road and on rough terrain. Give yourself a day to install if you are doing it by yourself without professional tools and a hoist, but it can be done. Plenty of room for upgrades later if you want. Definitely worth the price.

Was easy to install. However, some of the bolts were missing so I had to use the old bolts from the shocks I removed.

      Great lift for the money.

Installed it myself and took about 4 hours total to do. It drives and rides just as before the lift was installed. Added 35” tires and 20” rims and it really changed the look of my wife’s Jeep. Only complaint is the instructions could be better. Shows starting with the front but you need to start at the rear. You’ll need those sway bar links for the front.

      Great Product for the money

This kit is exactly what my wives jeep needed. Put 20 inch wheels with 35's. Gave it the perfect height and stance. The kit was easy to install. Did it in my garage with jack stands and jack. Took a few hours since I could only lift half the jeep at one time. If you had a lift it would have taken half the time. Someone who has basic knowledge of vehicle repairs could do this with no problem.

      Great Product

I've only had it on my Jeep for a week or so now, but it rides great. I had it installed at a body shop so I can't comment on the assembly. I will say that it seems to feel drifty when driving down the highway, might have to do research into adding a stiffer sway bar.

      Nice kit

I like the finished product. Instructions lacked detail some though over all this went pretty well. We work on a lot of cars. Two of us got this done in about 7 hours. We did not use the exhaust extensions recommended. We believe there's enough clearance for normal to moderate driving. If you're planning on serious off roading they may be helpful. All in all I'm happy w this kit and would recommend

      Nice lift

I installed the Rough Country Series II two and a half inch lift on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited the lift instantly change the appearance of the Jeep it looks great not too high not too low leveled it out perfect, only issues we had installing it where the directions weren't accurate some things to figure out after investigating but I'm very happy with it I would recommend it .

      Instructions

This is my 3rd lift I've done and the instructions on this where vague and confusing and didn't quite make sense to how I've lifted vehicles in the past, I'm guessing because rc just sends a generic set of instructions w all there lifts is what I'm told but aside from that it has been a great ride smooth and looks great w my 35's I'm running now took me about 4-1/2 hours to install

      Nice easy lift

Install wasn't too bad. I am fortunate I have a lift and air tools. But it can be done on jack stands. Only thing I didn't like is there was no hardware provided for the front brake line extensions. I provided my own nut and bolts. I think longer braided steel lines would be better. Having to straighten the stock lines is not a good way to go. Other than that it is a good quick lift.
