Set Up The Tent

1 - Clear sharp rocks and sticks from the ground. Lay out the tent over a flat area.

2 - Connect the (4) sections of the steel pole together using the (3) junctions (Fig 1 and Fig 2) as follows:

• Place the long steel pole section over the main tent and place the shorter steel pole section over the screen room. Connect these two pole sections with the junction that is marked with the letter “M”.

• Place the (2) steel pole sections with black end caps into the pockets at the end of each awning. Connect these pole sections to the main pole sections with the junctions that are marked with the letter “A” (Fig 3).

3 - Thread the (6) fiberglass poles through the pole sleeves and connect them to the (3) junctions (Fig 4). The fiberglass poles will lay across the tent (Fig 5).

4 - Attach the top tent clips to the steel pole (Fig 6).

5 - Raise the tent by having one person lift the top steel pole (Fig 7) and a second person bending the black fi- berglass poles until their ends go over their corresponding pole pins (Fig 8). Start with the two fiberglass poles at one end of the tent, move to the two middle poles, and finish with the two poles at the opposite end.

WARNING:

Don’t use excessive force when bending the tent poles. If there is any resistance, check to see that the pole sleeves are sliding over the poles without hangups.

6 - Attach the side tent clips to the black fiberglass poles (Fig 9).

The tent has a lower sleeve and an upper sleeve which create an alligator clamping action around the rear of the vehicle.

7 - Back the vehicle until its bumper touches the tent (Fig 10) and place the upper sleeve over the rear hatch door (Fig 11).

8 - Buckle the (2) short straps on the leading edge of the upper sleeve around the vehicle’s roof rack rear cross bar (Fig 12) (it may be necessary to adjust the position of the cross bar). If without a cross bar, clip the (2) long straps provided into the female buckles of the short straps and attach their J-hooks to the windshield wipers (Fig 13).

9 - Adjust the baffle inside the top edge of the upper sleeve to keep water, wind, and bugs out.

10 - Make sure the lower sleeve is sitting above the vehicle’s muffler. Place the buckle strap of the lower sleeve over the top of the vehicle’s rear hatch door (Fig 14).

11 - Raise the rear hatch door, making sure the buck- le strap is tight when the door reaches the top.

12 - Attach the (3) orange straps on the lower sleeve to the inside of the vehicle’s cargo area (Fig 15).

13 - Attach the J-hooks of the side straps A and B to the vehicle’s wheel well and tighten (Fig 16).

14 - Run the lower strap C under the rear wheel well and clip it to the up- per strap D (Fig 16).

15 - Repeat steps 13 and 14 on the other side of the vehicle.

16 - Stake the corners, sides, and guy lines of the tent (Fig 17 and 18).

17 - Add the rainfly over the main room of the tent if ex- pecting heavy rain (Fig 19). Connect the (4) corners of the rainfly to the side tent clips and secure the velcro tabs around the fiberglass poles (Fig 20). Note: the rainfly is shorter on the vehicle side of the tent.

To have use of the vehicle for the day, disconnect the up- per and lower sleeves and zip the vehicle door closed. Secure the upper and lower sleeves to the tent body by the dowel and loop fasten- ers located around the ve- hicle door (Fig 21).

Take Down The Tent

1 - Disconnect the upper and lower sleeves and move the vehicle away from the tent.

2 - Zip up all tent windows and doors, pull out all stakes, and place the stakes in the stake bag.

3 - Un-clip the side pole clips, lift the poles from the pole pins, and lower the tent to the ground.

4 - Un-clip the top pole clips, disconnect all poles, and place the poles in the pole bag.

5 - Fold the length of the tent in half (Fig 22). Fold the width of the tent in 3rds (Fig 23).

6 - Place the pole bag and stake bag on the end of the folded tent (Fig 23) and roll the tent as tightly as possible before placing it into the carry bag.
