Sizing. This front shock, an ES3000 by Pro Comp, matches Jeeps with a 3 to 4 inch lift. Nitrogen charging is at 200 psi to reduce wear, eliminate foaming, and lengthen useful service life.

Properties. Charged with high pressure nitrogen that maintains good function over a long period of time and featuring a special Teflon rebound stop, this Pro Comp front shock provides a comfortable ride on both the road and the trail. This tough component has a 5/8 inch chrome hardened piston rod and a 1 and 3/8 bore, plus a high quality construction.

Notable Features. Protected by a limited lifetime warranty, this shock absorber by Pro Comp is sturdily built for reliability with double welded shock mounts and Teflon rebound stops. The 10-stage variable valving built into each shock self-adjusts to match driving conditions whether on the road or on the trail. This ensures not just a more pleasant ride, but also improves your Jeep's handling characteristics.

        3 Top Rated Questions

I bought a pair of es3000 shocks for my 1997 Jeep tj. I only have about 2” travel on the shaft, I have a 3” lift, is that normal?

I'm interested in the procomp shock No lift kit on my yj, but tj always pop up on search or shocks for 3in lifts and up Do you have a procomp front and rear 0 to 2in ?

        • We currently do not offer Pro Comp shocks for the YJs from 0-2inches for the front and rear. Our options for stock YJs can be found here: https://www.extremeterrain.com/wrangler-jeep-yj-shocks-0-2inch-lift.html.

What kind of Accessories do i need for these shocks to fit. I bought a rough country 3.25" lift and my struts are shot. My jeeps front struts are a loop hole and stem set up. Will I need to buy a relocation bracket? If so, what would you recommend?

        • The Pro Comp ES9000 Series Suspension Front Shock for 3-4 in. Lift (97-06 Wrangler TJ) should be a direct factory fit for your TJ and should not require any additional brackets for install.

            Great Shock

The shocks look and ride great. Putting them on was smooth and was a perfect match up. Nice ride on and off road. Would recommend to anyone!

            Better than Stock

2001 Jeep TJ still had factory shocks and time to change. I chose Pro Comp’s ES9000’s for front and back. Very pleased with off and on raid performance.

            Perfect OEM replacement

I haven't replaced my shocks before, so I don't have much of a frame of reference. I use my 2000 Sahara as a daily, and occasionally (once or twice a month) do some very moderate off-roading. These shocks have made a night and day difference! For the price point, I don't think you can beat it. I'd definitely recommend.

            Shocks

Easy install just like the front overall good product would purchase again if needed new ones. Not as much sway in my vehicle. Only took about 20 minutes to install. How ever. I feel it does need to include new hardware for the vehicle itself. I did have to go to local hardware store an grab a CPL extra bolts.

            Pro Comp turned budget

I was disappointed to see that a Pro Comp shock didn’t come with dust covers, and the product I purchased didn’t have accurate hardware, so I had to use old hardware. A company like a pro Comp knows that the main reason for failure is dirt getting past the top seal.

            Smooth riding

After installing these new bump adjusters my ride went from wild to mild, they gave me a much softer bounce than the old hard up and down

Awesome Part and even more awesome delivery time

Easy to install. Done in 30 minutes. Ordered on a Friday and received on a Tuesday. Would however reconsider the plastic piece at the top of the shock keeping it compressed. Got to be quick to cut and put in place or you’ll be putting all your weight into compressing it back in.

Had them on for a couple months now. Easy install. Almost anyone should be able to do it. Don’t forget to buy the rubber cover thing.

            Great shocks

Really like these shocks still installing but they should be a lot better than what I had much stiffer than old ones but with front and back heavy bumpers and a winch they should be just fine hope I can update when done

            Shocks for my trail rig

Shocks performed well at first but really stiff. My Jeep is longarmed and after a couple of times at full flex my front driver went out. I would recommend getting Blitsen shocks. Spent the extra $ it will be well worth it. Just my opinion

            Drives like new

The shocks mounted as advertised. The ride improvement over the stock shocks is amazing. I purchased an 04 TJ with 30K original road miles so the shocks were not really bad just not what I wanted. I am not a big off roader so I think they will perform very well for me. Great buy, easy install.

            Excellent

I ran these for a year (until i sold it) on my TJ with a 2.5 inch lift and 33s. I liked how firm they were. The jeep didn't wallow in turns or rock front to back under heavy acceleration or braking. But still performed great offroad.

            New Life into my Jeep

Replaced the OE shocks in my '05 Jeep with 50,000 miles - old ones were hard to remove - corrosion did its work over the years. The shocks really improve the ride and handling..
