      Review & Installation Video

The Power Stop performance front brake caliper in red is for those of you that have a 1990 to 2006 Wrangler that are looking for a replacement for your factory brake caliper, that's going to be completely remanufactured and completely rebuilt. So it's going to be essentially a brand new caliper and is also going to have this high temp red coating on it if you're going for a little bit of a color scheme on your Jeep. This is going to be a pretty easy one out of three wrench installation. These are just gonna bolt right into place, you do have to bleed out your brake system, but we'll talk a little bit more about that in just a second. So while these are considered a performance caliper, they are going to be a remanufactured factory style caliper. So it's going to be a performance improvement if you have a worn out caliper that isn't currently working very well but this is going to perform just like any other factory style replacement caliper. This is not going to be a dual piston, you're not gonna get any more clamping force, this is not going to be a larger rotor setup, this is going to be a factory style caliper that has been completely rebuilt and brand new with the red coating on it. Now, you are gonna pay a little bit more for that red coating. So if that's not something you're interested in, I'd probably go in a different direction. But if this fits into your color scheme, you're not interested in painting a set of calipers yourself, this is gonna be right up your alley. So like I said, this is gonna be a remanufactured set of calipers, so all of your consumables, all of your boots, all of your fitting, all of your bolts, your seals inside where the piston goes, all of that stuff is going to be completely brand new. And of course, the caliper is going to have this high temp red coating on it as well which is really what sets it apart from some of the other options you can find. As for the installation, again, very simple one out of three wrenches, all you have to do is unbolt your factory caliper, you'll also disconnect your brake line. You'll pull the caliper off, pop your new caliper into place, bolt it up, connect the brake line and then bleed out the brake system however you choose, thereby introducing pressure and fluid at the master cylinder, drawing a vacuum on the brake bleeder at the caliper or doing the old school method of pumping the brakes and cracking the bleeder that way. Now, it is important that you put these calipers on in the right direction, they will go on upside down. But if you do that, then the bleeder will be on the bottom and it won't get all the air out of the system, you can bleed all you want and you're not gonna get a nice firm pedal feel. So do make sure you put these on in the right direction. These calipers are gonna come in at $90 and I do think that's a pretty fair price for a brand new set of calipers that have this red coating on them. If you're not interested in the red coating, save yourself a couple of dollars, go in a different direction. Instead of calipers that's working really, really well, you just want to color change them, you can paint them and save yourself a little bit of money. But if you are gonna need a new set of calipers, you like the red, I think these are pretty fairly priced. So if you're looking for a remanufactured set of red brake calipers for your Wrangler, I would recommend this option from Power Stop and you can find it right here at

        1 2004 Rubicon - FundyFresh

        Powerstop is garbage

Within the year both calipers have locked up and almost made me wreck multiple times. Rotors were glowing and smoking, pads looked like plastic. Brake in procedure was followed to a T. Don't waste your money.

        Be careful

Product is fine They had the left and right sides marked incorrectly so I installed and couldn’t bleed brakes. Had to remove and swap sides.

        Great upgrade!

Power stop front calipers were a great addition to my TJ! Not only do they look good but they work perfectly combined with the Power stop pads and rotors. One of the best improvements that I have recently made to my Jeep and a definite must have for Jeepers!
